The games keeps crashing into a BSOD “video tdr failure”.
Most of the times it happens when loading the game just before the character selection screen, other times when changing zones on the horse or when opening inventory/vendor.
It always did it since launch but after the last patch it has become impossibile to play the game.
I’m frustrated, it’s mind blowing that it can render during combat (even though sometimes it lags) but just opening the inventory completely blows up the GPU, and I paid so much money for an unusable game.
Specs:

The causes for a BSOD are very deep seated and not something that can be caused by our games directly. You can find some tips on BSODs in our support article on it.
For further assistance on it, get in touch with a local tech or your Laptop manufacturer, so they can look into the DMP files the Bluescreens create.
Far be it from me to mention it seeing as blizz responded.
That BSOD typically means you’re GPU is struggling.
So you have a couple of things you could try:
Test other demanding games, like cyberpunk or Witcher 3 and turn the settings up and see if you get another BSOD. If its only D4 that is BSOD’ing you then i can only put fault on the game not liking a 1050 GPU or the GPU drivers being dodgy. D4 is relatively resource hungry at the best of times, but its plausible its your drivers, but there may also be other factors at play.
Turn down your settings; i can see from your ‘localprefs’ you’ve got most things off, but I know it will suck but there are some other settings you can turn down in D4 that may improve your situation.
turn the refresh rate down to 60,
turn DLSS off
See if those improve the situation.
Other things outside of D4:
Roll back your driver version 1 or 2+ versions and see if you continue getting BSOD’s.
Check and rule out Thermals being an issue, increase you fan speeds on either your laptop or desktop and see if BSOD’s continue.
Roll back several Windows Updates and see if that stops the BSOD’s.
Ultimately however, depending on if you play other demanding newer gen games and it BSOD’s in them too, it could mean your GPU is physically dying and needs to be replaced. Or its software related (which I’ve partially covered above).
Thanks for the input, I will try changing the parameters you mentioned.
The worst part is I can run more demanding games, I’ve got both the Witcher 3 and cyberpunk, they run smoothly at high quality.
I’ve checked thermals and the temperatures never reach a high point.
I’ve also updated the drivers three times since installing diablo 4 but they always had bsod issues
