On killing Ashava at level 20, at the 17:00 spawn (GMT), a reward cache was granted, that was fine. When visiting the stables however, the trophy reward for killing Ashava during the beta / server slam is missing. Is this a bug, or will the reward be granted once the game goes live? I also noted that the barding shown in the image detailing the trophy on the D4 beta rewards page is missing from the stables menu too.
Can you please confirm whether this is a bug, or whether these rewards shall be granted at launch?
This is just a copy and paste from the “server slam live” page, but it does suggest you’ll get the rewards when the game goes live:
Felling the pestilence spewing Ashava comes with a new earnable reward, the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy.
- Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy: earned by defeating Ashava with one Level 20 character.
We’ve also reanimated rewards from our Early Access and Open Beta weekends, giving players another chance at earning these tokens of valor by spilling demon blood. Players who unlock these rewards will receive them once Diablo IV launches. If you previously earned these rewards from the Early Access and Open Beta weekends, you WILL NOT need to earn them again.
- Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
- Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
- Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
Confirmation would be nice though
These rewards are actually granted at launch, for use when the game is live and your characters won’t be auto-deleted at any point!
This information can quite easily be verified with a simple forum search or any general internet search. What you actually earnt during the beta events were three Feat of Strength achievements which are added/locked to your Diablo IV account. Having those achievements will then grant you the respective rewards when the game goes live next month.
Confirmation is right there in the quoted part, that part in bold italics that makes it stand out from the rest:
Players who unlock these rewards will receive them once Diablo IV launches.
These rewards are actually granted at launch, for use when the game is live and your characters won’t be auto-deleted at any point!
Rewards are indeed granted at launch, but all beta characters are deleted (“is no more”, “has ceased to be”, “bereft of life, it rests in peace”, “this is an ex-parrot”…).
err, no I used the bold and italics to highlight the line, however I was unsure whether the line about unlocking the rewards applied to the Cry of Ashava reward as well. This is more about the posistioning of the text and how it reads.
Cry of Ashava might not be included in the “reanimated rewards” comment.
MGLiquid seems to have another source though, so I’m gonna consider it as activated on launch.
My bad, I’ve edited my earlier comment to correct my mistake.
Have to admit I’m kinda curious as to the process behind some players thinking that they would get the actual “Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy” item during Server Slam. Given that mounts were never, ever, available for players to use during any of the beta events, why would you then go looking for an item either dropping directly from Ashava or appearing for use at the stables? Maybe some simply got confused because you could see the pre-order and special edition mounts and barding at the stables during Server Slam and just figured they would also be able to see the mount trophy?
Don’t like the term Beta Wolf Pack… makes me feel… less than.
Yes, it was a bit confusing. I did think I would be able to see those rewards as well as the pre-purchase rewards even though mounts were unavailable at the time.
As I’m sure anyone who killed Ashava in beta will know, rewards are available in game and show up, even before you can use a mount.
Indeed, at the stable, you should see both cosmetic rewards; and at the Wardrobe you should see the baby wolf which can be put in the back of your character.
