Price of Utimate Edition Upgrade

Hello, I have Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred - Deluxe Edition. You are currently selling Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred - Ultimate Edition with 65% discount but I’m really wondering why I must pay for upgrade from Deluxe to Ultimate Edition almost same price like somebody who is buying Ultimate Edition of Vessel of Hatred without owning any version of it. Shouldn’t be a upgrade from Deluxe to Ultimate Edition also sold with discount of 65%?

Stupid people being milked out of their money is the go in todays world.

I really wish to be as stupid as most of you people are. The game originally cost 70e already, which was overpriced, yet you knuts go and pay for more…

You idiots.

Want something extra, is all.

Would make sense you got a discount from the Deluxe edition.
I don’t know if it’s an oversight or if it’s deliberate, they thinking that someone who has bought Deluxe will likely pay full price for Ultimate.
You should get discounted. Read something else about this recently. Blizzard should get their discounting in proper order. The customer was quite upset, and rightfully so, no one wants to be taken advantage of.

ofcourse you´re into astrology, you slop-eating enabler of incompetent devs that have no respect for the ip.

I see you’re another one who read into everything and believe the world’s interpretation of all is the same as your interpretation of it. A full memer, as I call your type.
Sensible people know that every interpretation of reality, or a game, is individual and subjective.
Failing to realise that makes you believe in false and unbased consensus.

It is a known bug - I contacted CS yesterday to discuss and they acknowledged it is a bug that shouldn’t occur but did not suggest there was any immediate action being taken on the issue.

In their words: “The behaviour you are seeing appears to be technical, not intentional, something in the system is incorrectly detecting ownership or pricing and forcing the upgrade amount, especially when there are discounts.”

The very next dot point was, “I wish I could offer an immediate fix, but I can’t promise a solution just yet.”

I was further advised not to feel pressured into buying it at the incorrect price point.

As far as I can tell, this issue occurs often when discounts are available. I’ve seen threads from 12 months ago raising the issue.

It is very clear Blizzard have zero interest in fixing the issue - which would be simple to say the least for their teams.

I don’t understand technical issues, always complicated.
I don’t understand computers. I like them to turn on when I push the button and do what I say, which I believe they do. Exactly what I say, which is a problem when I don’t mean exactly that. Or when I don’t actually understand what it is that I am saying to it.
I believe no one actually understand computers or technical problems, but through trial and error we prevail against the gloom clouding our minds.
You may not understand something, especially the core of it, but logically we can follow the thread to what it must be and find solutions.
I think it is unfair to say that a company, which by definition relies on customers, do not care about their customers or do not care about their symbiosis with the customers.
I believe that if there is an issue, it is being worked on. It is not in anyone’s interest to have problems; especially with payment as it causes a lot of irritation.

Thank you, that gives insight to this issue.

That’s the correct response, giving light of care. But it comes off as insincere for two reasons:

  1. The company makes money on higher pricing. The current fomo culture is not generous.
  2. We need to play today, not tomorrow; immediacy is key.
We will disgruntingly pay the price.

Thank you. The problem have persisted a long time.
I have no idea why but I’ve noticed that purchases, confirmations, in HotS, takes a lot of time and it’s been impossible to purchase gems in the game itself for at least a year now. This system of transactions may be quite a lot larger than just Diablo 4 transactions, I’m thinking. A general system of transactions, which they may have fundamental problems with. A system like that can’t be put on hold, at least not for a long time, and I project that it requires very thorough scrutiny to understand a core bug it would have. It’s absolutely a security concern as well as it integrates with banks and such.
I think it’s complicated since they’re not offering immediate solutions.
I can only speculate why but I don’t think it is intentional.
