QoL changes to Barbarian

I would like to propose that we could write down some tings in this thread to discuss quality of life changes that can improve the gameplay on a Barbarian.

For example: I would like to see that Blizzard adds the possibilty to stand still when using whirlwind. It could be possible to make a setting like the one “hold position mode” where you can choose if you want to be able to stand still and still use Whirlwind on your Barbarian. This proposal is being lifted because i have some problems with my wrist and would still like to be able to play Barbarian without the same mouse movement. I know that some other big games have this built into the game and therefore would like Blizzard to atleast consider it, thanks.

stand still? lol pls, bit more fury regen be nice tho

I can see the “stand still and spin” option could also be useful if you have the aspect that increases damage when you don’t move.

The QoL change I would like would be for the horse dismount attack to generate a little bit of rage.

I don’t want to lift and discuss perks of other games in the thread but if you have tried playing with cyclone in Path of Exile you would understand what i mean. The thing that makes it so smooth is that you can regulate how fast you want to move by moving your mouse further away from your character. If you have the mouse right under your character you stand still and can keep using the skill.

I understand that it could be an issue with the fury but to be honest it has not bothered me that much yet. I am using Wrath of the berserker and unconstrained.

It was an interesting thought to imploment increased damage when standing still. I think that it can be harder to balance stuff if you where going to add it, but some extra damage is always welcome. Maybe i didn’t formulate it correct but i would like to see that you can use the skill and still don’t move forward, which would mean that the character is spinning around when using Whirlwind but it is still going to be some feet movement. With this said it could be hard to argue that the Aspect should be added because the character is still moving per se, but what do i know :slight_smile:

The aspect already exists in the game.

Deal 5-10% increased damage for each second you stand still, up to 30%

2H Weapons (+100% increase)
Gloves
Amulet (+50% increase)

Since noone answered on my specific topic about this:
Restore Charge to it’s Early access/Beta Version

With it’s bigger hitbox and more consistent dragging.
Ever since Launch Charge seems to not completely drag enemies unless they are on a very thin line between you and where you aim, instead of having a proper hitbox.
Sometimes I dont even hit the enemy I specifically aimed at, wasting the knockback and Stun.

More DR and more fury generation. Running 2 - 3 shouts is meta for a reason. I can’t imagine playing the game without the DR and Unstoppable at least, I would just get deleted. Make shouts worse, but make the party buff portion better (longer duration for example), then buff fury generation from basic skills and make the baseline barb not feel like a sheet of paper in whichever way you prefer - more armour/DR/block/DR or Unstoppable while Berserking/whatever floats your boat. That would make running other skills much more compeling, because the problems we try to solve by shouting would not be as severe, while Shouts remain good multiplayer option.
