The quest is broken , i get to the Wasting hollow and find the NPC Ealda , who i speak to and she goes through her dialog and then the quest tells me to kill the canibals , which i do then nothing , the mission doesnt change , i cant speak to her again , the misson log just tells me to clear the canibal feeding ground ???
I sawe onlinje that if theres an event outside the cave to clear that and relog ext , but none of that worked for me !!
Same for me, even if i drop the quest, clear the event, then picking up again the quest, i go to the cave, the event is again there, i clear it again, enter the cave and same bug, i clear the cave and nothing happens, then i exit the cave and the event is again up…

I’ve tried every known “fix” for over two hours and nothing. Trying the “clear event before entering” got extremely tedious and I discovered that the second I enter the cave a new event spawns… like, it takes a minute to clear and I can go back in and go out to another minute long event for loads of Obols and so on - but the quest still won’t work.
I’ve tried it all… Please fix this ASAP.
Still very bugged, its driving me mad, its the end of a quest chain, Blizzard pls fix.
I have the same problem, tried to fix it the same way as others, relogin or cancel the quest and take it again - nothing helps

This finally worked for me. I entered the cave, spoke to Ealda and immediately left and reentered the cave. What I saw was all the barbarians attacking the gate.
I tried any kind of workaround I was able to find on the internet and still wasn’t able to “unbug” this quest after more than 30+ or maybe even 50+ tries (didn’t track but it was a lot)…
Eventually I joined a friend’s game and attempted the quest while my friend was the host and it worked at 1st try.
The mission is still bugged for me. I arrive, I talk to Ealda, she finishes her speech. I break the barrier, I let the enemies get closer for the NPCs to act, but when the bad guys die, the NPCs stay still and it doesn’t advance anymore… I’ve tried about 10 times already. Just yesterday I tried it again, exiting dungeon, killing exteriors, restarting mission, etc. And nothing. It’s still the same and I can’t complete it.
Hopefully in a future fix they will fix it because it is not normal to have to randomly juggle the game to complete a mission.
When I go to Wasting Hollow to speak with Ealda, she gives her little speech rallying party of 5 barbs…and then nothing happens. Everyone is just standing there looking at each other awkwardly. Clearly Ealada was not inspiring enough.
