Not sure if it has been like this all day, but I guess not since I’ve edited my keybindings earlier today. Now I cannot (the options are greyed out), and I suspect it is related to the Reconnecting to Diablo IV message I have in the game?
I have reset internet router, changed DNS, changed router, rebooted computer, tried wifi, tried ethernet, rebooted computer, checked firewall settings, made sure Diablo IV is allowed through network.
I am stumped… No social interaction is possible.
Is this a known issue? Am I alone here? What do? Help please?
EDIT on day 2: It seems to be somewhat related to DNS resolution. I have been using QUAD9 as DNS resolver and changing to using Google public DNS and restarting again seems to be working for me. Not sure who is responsible to fix this (Blizzard or Quad9), but I assume it is Quad9 and have contacted them for a response.
EDIT on day 3: The issue is back, even though I haven’t changed any DNS settings. I guess it is time to make a ticket.

I have the same issue. I need to wait for 3 minutes in the character screen before anything loads. Then during play I have the message „Reconnect to Diablo IV“ all the time.
Funny thing, I just created a clan and then message dissappeared. Not sure if this is the fix or if it was coincidence.

It seems now to be fixed for me. Maybe wait some time and it will be working later. It was happening to me since release, but now it is luckily gone.
…and you did not do anything to fix it? I guess patience is key, then.

my game just crashed and now I got the reconnect issue again.

Try following: Go to your Documents folder in Windows and delete the „Diablo IV“ folder. The go the battle net launcher, repair your game client and start diablo again.
After this your settings will be deleted, but I do not have the reconnecting issue anymore.

I have this issue now, happened after a random game crash, I logged back in and everytime i log in the screen goes grey for like 5 mins until it says disconnected from diablo 4 but also stops being grey and allows me to click my characters. I am even able to click a character and log in but the top left of my screen just endlessly says “Reconnecting to Diablo IV” and I cant party up with friends
If anyone has any ideas please let me know

Same issue here, takes a long time to get to my char list then just sits there with the reconnecting to diablo IV message, even when I try to get in game.

Greetings! Same issue here. I had no game freeze or random game crash, but it’s still doing the constant reconnecting issue. Can’t even access game options. I’m trying the delete Diablo 4 documents folder right now. Guess I’ll see what happens.
(I did try the delete documents option. Still does the same thing.)

same here (EU)… sometimes disconnect after 5 mins, sometimes after 25… it’s unplayable.
Was having the same issue for the past few hrs and tried all the suggestions with no luck. It stopped being a problem for me after I disabled both the cross platform options (chat and the ability to see users on other platforms). I do not recall turning those options on (meaning it is likely on by default). Try that and hope it helps but it could just be coincidental.
I have a same issue. Stuck in a character screen after that give a message “reconnecting ti diablo 4”…after that the game was escape.
I dont know whats the problem. i try reinstall the game, but nothing change.
I have the same problem but when i hit start i can play the game but in the left upper corner on the screen is a message “reconneting to diablo 4” the game works but all option in settings menu is grey out only gfx and sound works.
Edit 1 : The patch it today now all is working.

Same issue here. Sometimes the message disappears after closing the game and open it again and sometimes not.

I have the same problem … Have had since launch.
Tried to Repair, tried to reinstall … Nothing solves it.
Friendlist seem to “Connect” every second minute and when I try to leave dungeon
I can cast the animation but is unable to actuarlly leave.
Have the reconnect banner on upper left today. Relogged, scanned files, same issue.
Just hit level 40 so hoping it sticks.
Still seems to be a current issue.
