Reconnecting to Diablo IV

Hi, for 2 days in a row I am constantly experiencing the “reconnecting to Diablo IV” message in the top left corner of the screen. Sometimes the Portals and other points of interrest get greyed out and I cant use them. Once Ive been disconnected from the game. Havent had this issue until now and made no changes to the game. Got a stabile fixed Internet connection, 1000/50 Mbps. Tried to repair the game, restarted the PC and Router… but nothing helps.

Same, this has been happening for months now for a lot players, done everythin advised (bios, reinstall, …) with 0 improvment.

I think there wont be any fix… Blizzard is not reacting to these posts because they know the reason… From what I can see, they are probably doing live updates / small patches during the day and thats interrupting the connections of players. Especially in the mornings and during working hours this issue seems to be more persistent.

Today I tried to play with my kids, they are on Xbox, I am on PC and theyve got the same reconnecting to Diablo IV issues I did… we even had huge problems to make a party together because game kept disconnecting us. We are in the same room on a 1000Mpbs/50Mbps optical cable connection…

Furthermore, even after being in the game, there seems to be huge lags and map freezes, loading issues, stuttering etc…

I had similar problems in the past, I suspected that the problem might lie with my internet provider. My internet provider basically throws their customers into an auto-channel system, which automatically sends customers around to the least busy channels.

This kind of thing can be used for relatively many forms of internet use, but definitely not for real time action games which are browser based. The split second of changing the channel is enough to temporarily lose the connection, leading to disconnection.

I contacted my provider, explained the problem to them and asked them to put me on a fixed channel, since then I still experience disconnections, but not at all to the same extent as before.

Maybe some are in the same situation, it’s worth investigating.
