Remove the items people got from using the helltide exploit, there is no questions about it, get it done, now.
Did you read hotfix. They don’t remove items . Only nerfed drop rates back to 0
Yes, it’s especially fair if you weren’t playing on Thursday haha. Who expected a more thought out fix than that!
They dont care about fairplay, they care about these 142 people, which got that item and exploited the s- out of this bug.
So i’m going to switch to POE2 asap, since i see that blizzard doesnt care about fair gameplay at all. Since PVP is now a thing (unlike in D3), its obiously a really bad decision to NOT delete the items.
oh stop crying about a handful of people who lucked out.
Good for them.
It was a bug nothing more nothing less so they shouldn’t be punished because they just played the game. Everyone who was playing at the time had the same opportunity to grab one and those who were not playing have nothing to say.
I suggest in future (once you have found all of the toys you threw out of your pram) you launch the game after every update just incase something else unforseen happens.
and no I didn’t get one either but thats ok as I don’t miss what I never had in the first place.
Lmao, you clearly have no idea what happened that night.
People used several characters to open more Helm Crates @helltides, to get these Unique Helmets. They were exploiting the s- out of this.
Stop commenting, if you dont even know what happened this night bruv.
firstly I am not your bruv as no member of my family would be so butthurt over a few people getting something nice happening to them.
Secondly, are you seriously telling me that you wouldn’t have done the exact same thing ? because if you are then I will call you a liar.
Thirdly I’ll have you know I know exactly what happened as I’ve read the majority of the crying posts about this topic and AsmonGold also told me.
Fourthly, as soon as it was realised it was disabled and patched, there was nothing else that could have been done and Blizzard have rightly said that in future if something like this happens again then items will be deleted so whats the issue ?
You were the one who decided not to launch D4 when the patch dropped just the same as I decided to go to bed rather than relaunch the game. You are so full of jealousy over an accidental incident and because you are “suffering” you want everyone else to feel the same way - theres a word for that.
Why are you so bitter and twisted over a video game ?
Idgaf what you think about me. Just because you would exploit, it doesnt mean, that everybody else would.
Ah sure, so this time they dont delete the items, but next time they do? That would be even more unfair, than this crap right now, lmao. Pathetic.
Sure bro, i have a reallife and i dont live in NA, so ofc i wont play through the night. Its not about jealousy, its about fair gameplay. Stop projecting yourself onto others. Just because you would act that way and feel that way doesn’t mean others will too. Everyone has different reasons.
People don’t know what exploit is.
This was not an exploit, but a mistake from the developers. Keep in mind developers did not test anything in this game. They also refuse to fix anything, says enough…
YouTube Videos be like “NEW EXPLOIT” or “DO THIS, BEFORE ITS PATCHED”. You telling me people didn’t know it wasn’t intentional from Blizzard? Funny.
Kids these days click on anything that isn’t normal.
Kids don’t click on:
“Uber uniques drops very often now”
But they click on anything easy:
“NEW EXPLOIT” or “DO THIS, BEFORE ITS PATCHED”.
Gen z has no brains cells anymore don’t forget that.
People call it an exploit, developers cal it unintended behavior meaning oops we made a mistake.
What i mean by that is, they knew they’re exploiting it, since they knew it wasn’t intentional from Blizzard bro.
If you know something isn’t intentional and you abuse this as long as possible, that’s what’s called exploit…
Too bad Blizzard doesn’t remove items!
Shame on you Blizzard!
Yes but it isn’t an exploit. It’s still a mistake.
People abusing that mistake, only logical, normal behavior of people. Why do you think developers removed it from dropping, like right away?
A normal exploit don’t get fixed that quick. But we can call it whatever we like. I still say it wasn’t an exploit.
Ehm… i’m not sure what you are talking about, but exploiting a bug is called exploit…
It wasn’t a bug either, it was a mistake…
I live in the UK hence whilst I am on the European forums.
I think I may have been a bit harsh with you but please take a step back and look at the situation from as neutral position as possible.
The way I see it is like this, an untested patch got released people benefited from an unintended side effect of the untested patch - they are not to blame for any of this and so shouldn’t be punished for it.
Blizzard acted pretty quickly to disable the drops for ultra-rare uniques and then issued a hotfix. Whether people exploited the mistake or not is irrelevant as they were just in the right place at the right time.
Blizzard have done the correct thing by stating that they will not allow this type of profiting from future mishaps. I can understand people being upset a little because they were not playing the game at 11pm gmt when the patch dropped, I was playing and got kicked (obviously) so that the game could update. I then chose not to relaunch the game as it was getting late (I’m 50 so 11pm is late for me lol) and went to bed.
No matter what Blizzard did in this situation there was going to be unhappy people so they chose the lesser of two evils and decided to let the lucky players keep the items they got but assured the community that this would not be allowed again.
For Blizz it was 100% a lose - lose situation.
I can imagine that people are upset but what is done is done so there is no point in bearing a grudge as it isn’t going to change anything nor is it going to help anyone. When games launch there are bugs and problems, especially on PC’s due to configurations etc but one thing we absolutely know for certain is that this game will only get better with time. Sure there are going to be hiccups along the way but overall we will look back on this issue as a pointless contention issue and laugh about it.
Just try and move past it as it is completely out of your control and is therefore not worth worrying about.
Anyhow I’m off to do the capstone dungeon and grab some playtime so I hope you have a good night and don’t think on this too much as it isn’t worth your brain power or time.
Peace.
Which doesn’t change anything.
I mean with this logic everything is “just a mistake” because bugs are a mistake while coding the game.
Removing the item they got because of the side effect is not a punishment.
It’s just putting the situation back to normal.
Punishment would be if it comes with additionnal sanctions.
If they dont remove the items I may be ok but for the moment I uninstall. BUT in the future if this happens again I want them to say it will not be removed, not the message they shared now.
They took action against people who had monsters endlessly in cellars, but they don’t take action on taking down the unique super rare items found in the Tide, shame on Blizzard,
