Reset account-wide changes after boost

I’m a new player, and was awarded the free boosts.

My original plan was to ignore it since it was my first time through, however was slowly getting frustrated with the quest auto-pinning automatically while I was playing.

I decided to burn the boosts on some new characters to get rid of the quest. What I didn’t realise is that the Altars of Lilith were account bound and now my first char has all the bonuses.

Is it possible to reset this?

No, but why is it bad?

People begged for it, since they found it a chore to do it on all chars. Like they begged for not having to find different flowers, so now you have a single “stack of herbs”. Like they’re now begging for glyphs to be levelled account wide.

And then they complain there’s nothing to do in end game.

Hi all!
Yesterday by mistake also activated this free boost, and now all Altars of Lilith marked as completed. And it was so disappointing to realize that it has been applied across the whole account, not for specific character.
I’d like to have a possibility reset it too

The really odd thing is that the extra 12 points aren’t even used in the curated builds, so why they enabled them is beyond me. Not like you’re using potions.

It is great for returning players but I am a new player that never experienced the original game. I was level 8 and saw a quest marker, followed it spoke to a guy and then all of a sudden with no warning I am level 50 with 1 million gold, legendary items, a bunch of resources and stuff unlocked. It not only ruined this character but my whole account. I want t experience the game from the begining without all the extras. The boost should be handled via the character selection screen not as a quest without warning. This is bad design and frustrating because I can’t reverse it. It wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t affect the whole account.

There was a pinch of sarcasm in my reply. I actually hate the account wide stuff. Would be much better if that’s a choice on character selection, as you point out. Sometimes you want to make a character just to test something out and then having everything enabled is nice.
And sometimes you really want to create a new character and go step by step. And of course, having everything handed to you as a new person to the game is really not a good thing. You should have at least one character that completed the main campaign to even have the option, to protect footshooting like you did.

It’s also extremely weird they provide a rush to endgame option to begin with as endgame is still no where it should be.
