I tried to return to this game and wanted to check after all this talk that it has changed and improved. I played until Level 40 and was somewhere in the middle of the campaign. The game played well at that time, no major technical issues I can remember. Since the last time I played (over a year ago), I upgraded my graphics card through a much more powerful model (AMD RX580 replaced by AMD RX 7900 XTX). I just started the game once with my old character and thought about making a new one. As I tried to do that the game crashed during the character creator with Out Of Memory and asked if it should revert to the default settings, I confirmed that. After restarting the game the game was set to Ultra. This time I could complete the character creation, but the game crashed shortly after that. I only saw the waypoint or whatever it is you’re supposed to start at. I reduced the setting from Ultra to High, now the game was playable for 30min to 60min until the next Out of Memory crash occurred. During that time I didn’t really have a enjoyable experience. I tried to make another new character which could make use of the free boost offered. As anticipated the information got a bit overwhelming after that long break. Still I got messages that all my characters got +attributes and information that I should claim my realm rewards. Even after I did that the messages did not disappear. About the RAM issue: I have 64 GB RAM and 24 GB of video RAM, it exceeds the minimum required.
Summary: It worked in the past, now it doesn’t, please fix your memory management.
