After having played D2,D3 and now D4 and having spent a couple of thousand hours in those games…
I must say this game feels unfinished,boring and shallow.
No more sets,only a few Unique items,almost no customisation,no more nice texts in the itemlabels,only one roll for enchanting…
At least with the cube of kanai you could roll till you got what you wanted.
A paragon system that is boring and not engaging.
For a game that promotes an open world and communities,to meet other people its strange that its not possible to even check on your friends for their stats let alone strangers that you see pass. You can t even portal to your friends when in group…
We do not even have the possibility to finish the story and farm the story bosses on higher difficulties…
Also the difficulty scaling is boring. Whats the use of the capstone dungeons,if people want to play harder modes let them… Now its locked behind stupid capstone dungeons.
I am not even having the feeling that you go up against the legions of hell or that you re in the middle of a conflict between heaven and hell… Instead we get canibals,erhm really?
The lootsystem sucks,transforming rares into legendaries with a press of a button is not engaging… Diablo was about the loot and farming for better. It was exciting to see legendaries on the floor,to unwrap them and see what it was. D4’s loot is generic and boring,just like the statssystem used.
Even the events feel shallow and meh…
The random encounters in D3 were fun. Like that one guy that invites you into his home to meet his mother and her head rolls off.
The followers were also fun and i liked their stories. It gave more depth to the game,something D4 is badly missing.
And the updates are making it worse,unplayable…
Well actually Blizz is missing depth and quality in recent years,i experienced it in WoW after playing for a lot of years,Starcraft,Hearthstone,Overwatch and now Diablo… Its all about the money and the rest doesn t matter it seems.
Quality,humor,depth and engaging gameplay had to make place for the greens…
