Single player option is a MUST

This is such a beautiful game, with amazing effects, visuals… a stunning world to explore with awesome lore. and it all gets completely ruined by the fact that there is constantly several other players around smashing everything before you even touch a monster.
it kills the lore, the immersion and the feeling of being a lonely wandering adventurer… gives more of o feeling that the monsters are completely overwhelmed and outnumbered.
no one should be forced into a world with so many other random players that you dont know or arent in your party. its bad enough that there is scaling everywhere which makes it feel very random… having max level players around u all the time fighting the same monsters when you just started a few minutes ago.

there are tons of people feeling the same way! please dont kill this game by forcing everyone into a mob-tagging mmo-grindfest. this would be so sad to see.
people wanting to play like this still can… just give us the option to play solo or with party members only!

I completely agree. I played the beta and it was just bearable. This time I can’t move without having some other player “helping” or running through a fight, moving about in fits and starts, exactly as a cockroach does.
Totally ruins the Diablo feeling.

Unlike the Early Access and Open Beta weekends I’ve hardly seen any other players during Server Slam! The most players I’ve seen was during the Ashava fight (about 14 other players).

For Server Slam I’ve disabled the Cross-Network Play option, although I did enable it prior to going to the Ashava event and I disabled it again right after helping to kill Ashava.

With Cross-Network Play enabled you will see, and can interact with, players on other platforms. With Cross-Network Play disabled you will NOT see, nor be able to interact with, players on other platforms (the Clan feature will also be disabled/blocked). You can find that option right at the top of “Options → Social” and it really does help to reduce the number of other players you see running around.

Unfortunately that’s the best we’re going to get, Blizzard will NOT change this, no matter how many complain about it. I would absolutely prefer an option for single/solo play, but that’s just not going to happen.

you can disable 5 of the 6 platforms in the game menu under social options.

if you turn off cross play you essentially disable the xbox X/S/one PS5/4 players from showing up in your game. but you still have the PC players

5/6 is a decent reduction tho :stuck_out_tongue:

edit:

liek GrizzlyUK above me stated

Very much agree on this. D4 didn’t call to me and I was hardly interested in the game before the beta, but the beta had something that made me consider.

Playing on HC doing an event where I was kinda struggling but managing it and had a good time dodging / jumping etc. Until 2 other players arrive and smash everything in 15sec. Such an empty feeling.

I’m still considering buying it, but this “No-solo” option is really dragging down on the scale.

couldnt agree more… leaving the game like this toally kills immersion and doesnt add up at all with the story! we need an option to opt out of MMO style… dealbreaker for many people. cant focus on ths story, on the world itself and everything the game has to offer with that many player and animation effects around me. let us have a choice!
