So this right here: Siphoning Strikes when you crit you have a 75% chance to regen 1-3% life, This just destroyed rogue survival, my life bar previously would be in flux in higher NM dungeons. Now if i jump into a pack it’s just dead, Return it back please or everyone will just run flurry.
It isn’t just melee builds this effects this effected my Pen Shot build, My rapid fire, and grenade build why would you do this blizzard. I get you don’t like immortal but this just removed 70% of the builds from the game so grats i guess.

Same Problem here running Flurry - even with the vuln leech it isn’t exactly viable anymore (Flurry has 10% lucky hit chance) because leech doesn’t seem to proc every time even with vuln enemys.
Together with the other huge drops in survivability (lost ~1k armor) and taking into account that rogue wasn’t exactly tanky before, it’s gone from mediocre to omg so so bad.
So let’s suffocate a bit more in our rogue bubble making sure nothing changes because no one at blizz cares …

I suppose because it made other forms of sustain obsolete for melee rogues and devs want to make pots and others forms of sustain meaningful.
My wild guess

You’re right, that’s the intention, i’m sure - but i think it’s a misguided one. What other forms of sustain besides potions/leech are there for rogues? Rhetorical question, the class heavily relies on cc.
Pots were already meaningful before the patch, even for flurry rogue you had to use it frequently if you wanted to push nm 60+, because rogue lacks other forms of defensive abilities. And no, dark shroud and concealment doesn’t really count compared to sorc/druid/barb defensive skills. If you want to use these (and you don’t, maybe dark shroud via aspect only) you have to sacrifice imbuement/ultimate skills or skills for single target damage.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s ok that rogues are a class which relies on high mobility and cc, but you need some survivability. Because if enemys hit, they hit hard. Siphoning strikes made it bearable, but i would say it was far from overpowered.
Thing is, we weren’t supposed to easily solo push nm60+ in preseason, devs didn’t do the math correctly. They even wrote that in the patch notes that they didn’t do the math.
the builds emerging from new players have shocked and delighted us.
Reminder: couple days after release they disabled lilith fight after they noticed that players are already close to killing her with normal builds
Now i look at season 1 as “open beta test#2” and rather than looking at balance changes as final i consider them as direction in which they will go in open beta test#3
