Skill tree idea

It would be cool If players could change the skill tree builds (for example) after 10 sec out of battle and not in dungeons just by one click having for example 3 different builds charts/tabs/windows ready to be swapped from one to another in one click.

I’m fine with that just as long as you pay the cost to swap each point.

Yeah, like being warned of the gold cost before accept the swap.

Its so easy. You want gold for respeccs?

Nominal amount before level cap, like 100g or something. Scale it up by paragon levels.

It shouldnt be a formidable amount until you are basically a no lifer and at that point youll appreciate the life goal.

That or just put a gold gambler in the game and do away with restrictions. Theres your gold sink with an enjoyable outcome (sometimes)

I, as a roleplayer, don’t really want to be able to change my abilities all the time.

I want to commit and specialize in something and follow that path.
This model of constantly changing your skill as you please removes another important aspect of an RPG and only makes it worse because it seems interchangeable and becomes easier.
This only shows that D4 will eventually become a sports game, which in turn is an indication that at some point the game world will lose its value and that the hunt for items in dungeons and numbers will ultimately determine the game and always just adapt everything.
Especially the change interferes with the great transformation of the classes.
If one would adapt in a skill tree a little in his specialization, to say the barbarian takes instead of kick onslaught and changes 1-2 passive things like more magic resistance to previously physical resistance…
But we’re also talking about complete class rebuilding here, unfortunately.
The frostmage becomes a firemage and the advertising bear becomes a caster and the shooter becomes a melee…
That’s completely out of line and just lousy roleplaying.

No, not earn gold for respec but pay gold for swapping the whole skill tree, paying the amount of money you would have to pay to re-skill it manually. Thats just a Quality of Life Feature. To swap between previously prepared builds just for saving a lot of time trying to figure out what was “the build”, espacially when you havent look into in for a long time.
