Slow download/install

Game is downloading EXTREMELY SLOW. I can go from 50MB/s one minute and then instantly down to 100kb/s. This was not how the download speeds were when I bought and downloaded the game.

It feels like for some stupid reason Blizzard switched from downloading the game in one go then installing to installing it alongside downloading it which takes FAR LONGER to download and install. A 90Gig download should be done in max an hour on my connection, if not 30-40 minutes. Yet because of this I’m 30minutes in and stuck on 8%.

What the hell is this? Blizz just stopped giving a damn about the customer experience and are throttling downloads for games???

First it was slow as 50KB/s even

Then one of suggestions of blizzard was pausing and resuming the download

well after that it fully got stuck as it said another download was running (checked non was)

fully reinstalling battlenet app fixed that but then slow download speed was back

Same, my download went down to an astounding 700b/s yes Bytes… nothing like not having separate servers for downloads…It’s such a basic mistake that I really wonder who runs things over at Actiblizz.

It took around 4-5 hours to download. I noticed this happening with the patch also. It’s like they’re installing and downloading the game at the same time. I have an NVMe M.2 SSD that’s very fast, it shouldn’t be this slow to install alongside download.

Either it’s some crappy install while it downloads system(We should be able to opt out of this, honestly) or the speeds are deliberately throttled.

When I started the game and played for 10mins it turns out the beta memory leak is back. Joy.
