so the gauntlet has been delayed a 4th time, meanwhile the game is pushing out extreme amounts of paid cosmetic in the shop over and over almost daily… and at very high prices… the game is now being run by a skeleton crew to generate money, and the devs didnt even uphold the campfire chat that was supposed to come before the gauntlet, and explain more about it… i truly have lost all hope for the team , we need a complete overhaul of d4 staff.
That’s a lot of conjecture.
I think those cosmetics have been ready for some time.
And I don’t understand where you get that there’d be a minimal staff for D4.
If they didn’t talk, they weren’t ready. Which is concerning because they must’ve hit something.
Anyway, I haven’t lost faith.
Game is not dead but season was disappointing so people left in first week or 2
I think they are delaying things because they know they failed.
I think that you will see that gauntlet in next season
I’m really looking forward to s4, see those new items.
But I’m suffering from a bit of gamer fatigue. What am I doing? Last season I did 800 runs or 200 rotations on Duriel before I got an uber. This season I haven’t gotten anything and I might not. But I get that and then what? Would be fun if I got a drop but only for a few moments, laughing at the mobs fly, but then what? Lilith? That’s too much of a bother to do more than once. Better hire a barb merc to clear it with impunity than do it by myself.
Can’t really see any end I want to do.
Then, come s4, I’ll be hunting items again. Which is fun but can I even get them? Even if I play long hours diligently it’s still hard. Idk. It’s tough motivating doing anything when it doesn’t go anywhere but another Duriel run. Sure it’ll be something else in time but that’s then. By then I suspect I’m engaged with something else.
for a overly padded game with little to do in it and tons of useless stats that are only there to pad the loot pool id say it died when the pointless season system started and they nuked the game stats in the pre-season patch. repetitive gameplay works in cod due to playing different players on what is suppose to be a equal field. it does not work when your fighting the same brain dead NPC’s over and over again to try and get the right item to drop like its a dumb slot machine while knowing the drop rates are so low that im more likely to get cancer than to get a piece of gear with the correct stat types and right amounts.
yes, right. right.
what would make sense? not sure.
i hope the devs have a clue but i think that’s being overly optimistic.
Until Gauntlet is ready perhals AoZ should be awailabe for those who want’s a challange.
with possibility of uber mats drops @Blizzard
wasnt gauntlet supposed to release. YESTERDAY. they are just being silent,
who cares it will just be the same stuff y’all already done just mashed together. this game is essentially going to go the Destiny 2 route and make you kill the same garbage for yrs with new skins if they even bother. if i were blizz i wouldn’t bother due to knowing y’all wont stop playing and will keep buying battle passes. it is what it is.
This game was dead the moment ubers dropped with max stats. This is what killed it for me. Such a good game dying due to poor management lol
I think for me… I got two ubers after playing pretty much every day of s2 and s3. Got my second one in s3 then. Expecting a third at some point given I am running helltides 90% of the time, all day; farming it out.
So like, for me; getting a max stat on my singles is pretty awesome. Eventually, over the years, I will have more of them. And I think drop rate will increase also, so I expect to be able to pay the 6 uber fee to make a purchase for specifics at some point.
But for others tho… Max stats mean that you can’t really overfarm it for value. Now that’s a problem if you have invested in farming capacity. The cap is reached immediately on acquisition, meaning that there’s a certain limit to the productivity possible and also the money of course. If steel could somehow be translated into money.
That’s what i think.
But for you it must be that you are lucky and gifted, so you already have full rows of ubers. In that case, a shame that there aren’t various quality on the multiple shakos you have. But you can at least scrap them and roll new ubers later, so stocking up is alright.
For me, idk… will take years to get 6 ubers I feel rn. But the pace will ramp up I think, so it’ll be faster. Actually it’s good it’s not that fast rn because it would cheapen the experience. So like, i usually get 10 steel every run. How many u get?
Still looking for those perfect uniques also. u got all that already? that’s some farming. And u need perfect rares also. Idk about u but i got a lot of slots i want a rare swap. For builds if nothing else, like just fun stuff u know.
Edit:
cuz like then i farm and i eventually get just same stuff that the robot factory produces. the distance is ten units and my production is only a unit per cycle so it’s tough. But it’s ten times worse for the robot factory because its production is at a hundred or a thousand units per cycle while the distance is still just 10 units. For the professional farmer there’s just too little to farm. And for the gifted ones, of course. But for regulars, there’s more than enough farming to be made. And there’s enough disappointment to be had with fluxuating stats too, so getting a perfectly rolled here and there don’t hurt too much.
But like… as a producer, feeding on the inferiority of the common production capacity, I can imagine it feels very lackluster as the caps are reached so quickly. Commoners still got a long way to go but it’s lightning quick if you have a setup. What you do then? I guess, eventually, look for another business probably since it just doesn’t scale well.
Another reflection would be that it’s not improbable that they’re just testing the waters for ubers and that eventually most or all of them will roll with variance.
I don’t think that the main concern is to combat farming, rather it is to make availability reasonable and pursuit desireable. So as ubers start dropping more frequently, as I expect them to; availability increases and perhaps then, as a sort of a cost but also for the fun of the lucky finder, variance becomes introduced.
They’re taking it slow, don’t worry and don’t call dead just because they’re being methodical.
