Sure, you played nonstop for 50 hours because you weren’t enjoying yourself.

“Sure”.

I absolutely love it, story was so much fun I am already act 5 again on a new hero. Playing new builds, trying nightmares.

It is about challenging yourself, you might need a break, you did just no life a game all weekend.

It takes about 10-12 hours to get to level 50? What?

Also, the game isnt fun. Mobs are bullet sponges, normal trash fallen take 4-5 hits to die. If they’re a minion we’re talking up towards 20 hits.

Only a few select builds change this fact, but NORMAL rpg builds that are made from looking at the skill tree and building what makes sense, suck in this game.

There are issues, there will be nothing but die-hard fans left at this rate.

Sigh.

Check your gear.
Learn the mechanics
Lower the tier if you struggle .

But it’s pretty unanimous, it’s basically game of the year.

Sounds like you’ve got it - build power through 50/60’s with better gear/paragon. Jump to WT4 - do it again. Eventually grind the endgame and try to beat a Tier 150 Sigil.

Hopefully you tried D3 to know if you would like it? Time spent in end game is very similar - just better graphics. Replace ‘Greater Rift’ with ‘Sigil’ and replace ‘Legendary Gem’ with ‘Glyph’.

It is a big world - you can make other goals for yourself… But yes - like previous Diablo’s, and similar games in the market, you have to have a strong ‘grind’ muscle to enjoy long term.

You cant do captone dungeon in tier 1 to unlock nightmare. The door is closed so you have to do in tier 2 to unlock it I think.

go out …
smell the nature…
remember the sun light what it looks like …

and when you will write something serious , you will get a serious answer :stuck_out_tongue:

This forum might still be calm, Reddit and the US forums are swimming in complaints that mirror mine.

At WT1, the game should be easier than it is. No sorry wrong word because WT2 is not hard its boring.

Fallen and Zombies should not take multiple hits to die, the big monsters should be chunky and thats fine for the most part, but when even the lowbie swarms take forever…

Now if you’re playing rogue, barb or arc lash sorcerer. You dont get to speak, those classes are fine even if they’re whining as well. Try having to spam a near useless basic skill on necro so you can use the skills that are actually fun, aka Bone Spear.

I switched over to a druid and I’m having a ton more fun than I ever did on my necro, and my necro is a fair bit into WT3.

No one is saying that its hard, Im not struggling. Im BORED. The mobs take far long to kill for how dangerous they are, they can’t kill me, they tickle, yet somehow they can survive several hits. It just feels off, ARPGs have never been like this and neither is Diablo 4 once you reach 55-60ish and get sacred drops.

But the low level experience sucks.

I don’t know what you are doing wrong it must be core mechanics misunderstood.

*Having completed the game with barbarian and druid at lvl 45 and 53, respectively *

I started a necromancer this morning I’ve been playing for just a couple hours it’s level 20 and more or less instantly destroys everything you’re talking about.

You understand how to apply CC effects and then use abilities that do extra damage when targets are under the effect of a CC, right

Make them vulnerable, stun them burst them, they take two hits to kill one hit if I get a crit and overpower destroys them. I’m on tier 2.

I literally use decompose on them for all of half a second and they die (trash mobs)

You’re level 20, your point is moot. You haven’t even reached the point where it gets bad yet.

Yes, Bone Spear does exactly that. Corpse tendrils into bone spear and boom. Then you stand there plonking bone shards or channeling decompose so you can do it again, but that damage you’re seeing on decompose is all but gone come level 30-40ish, it tickles at best. It goes into full resource generator, so unless you run minions your damage nose-dives.

Again, it’s not hard, it’s just not fun.

No, buddy this is my new character today I’ve already beat the game twice.

On Necromancer? Because as I said, these issues with basic skills are not present on other characters.

I mean hell, rogue and sorcerer don’t even need to use theirs at all. I’m just bummed out as someone who has been a necro fan since D2 launch. But for now I’ll just stick to other classes, who knows, one day maybe they’ll make necro have a fun gameplay loop. Right now it feels clunky and boring to me.

Not having an issue at all. Decompose drops corpses activate miasma, use tendrils for vulnerable. Hit with two blood spears.

As I finish with necromancer I will comment back here if I find that you are correct but so far looking at the skill tree I doubt there’ll be any issues.
