So the Exploit glyph. Why?

So here I am wondering about the Exploit glyph. For those that don’t know it’s a glyph that basically makes enemies you hit vuln for 3 seconds when you hit them with an ability EXCEPT for Necromancer and Sorc.

I’m just sitting there wondering what the thought process from the devs is here? You get the best scaling stats in the game here for free EXCEPT you two!

Yeah it’s probably not going to get answered but maybe some dev sees this, blue post or atleast just a little bit of awareness on this subject.

That’s all, not really a complaint or anything but just wondering.

Actually thats’s not what this glyph does lol… It inscreases your dmg by X% for X secs after you dmg vurnerable targets.

Read the lvl 15+ 2ndary part. That’s exactly what it does EXCEPT for Necro and sorc as the post is about.

It is without question the single biggest power creep for 3 out of 5 classes due to that fact.

OH! I got what you mean now. Actually that makes it totally different glyph for necro/sorc than the other classes

Exactly and I’m just asking why 3 out of 5 classes gets “special treatment”.

Maybe the reason is that for those classes it’s easyer to make targets vurnerable with their skills. Yet necro/sorc benefit more once get designated to them glyph bonus.

Because sorc has a lot of ways to make enemies vulnerable already.

Necro has Corpse Tendrils that also slow and stun, Sorc has Frost Nova which (as the name implies) freezes enemies and makes them vulneable. That fact that you are semi forced to use certain abilities on certain classes is a different topic altogether tho.

Like you said yourself that’s not really the topic. Druid, Barb and rogue also has many ways of making targets vulnerable but why take away an ability on the glyph that 3 other classes get?

Well I’m playing a rogue now and I can make enemies vulnerable super easily with a basic attack that has more range than frost nova… so I’m not sure that’s the logic they have.
Aside of playing Ice, there is no way that I’m aware of to make enemies vulnerable with a sorc.

Not only that, but rogue has vun. on demand which works perfectly with every single build

Not sure about druids and barbs

wait what? why? this makes no sense at all :expressionless:
I’ve played a druid and rogue in beta, they had a very easy time applying vulnerable, and they get to freely apply vuln from this glyph too???

For sorc, they only have ice nova that can apply vuln as far as I know, and it’s a cd skill, so it’s already hard for sorc to apply that.

For necro, corpse tendy, iron golem and one specific perk of the ice mage can apply vuln, but if you don’t use one of those, then you have no way to apply vuln, and even with all 3 of those, you can’t really keep vuln up 100% since corpse tendy and golem are cd skills, and ice mage with the vuln perk can only apply vuln to frozen target, so it’s very inconsistent.

It just doesn’t seem right to remove that important part from the glyph just for those 2 classes… :face_with_head_bandage:

It’s just easy mode for 3 of the 5 classes getting vuln the hardest scaling stat currently in the game on any dmg skill they do. I don’t know what more to say but I’m still left wondering.

And we wonder why people are confused
they can’t even read and understand simple things

I’m not sure who you’re being sarcastic towards but you can literally just go google search D4 exploit glyph difference and see it since I can’t link or post pictures on these forums for some reason.

“Additional bonus:
When an enemy is damaged by you, they become vulnerable for 3 seconds. This cannot happen more than once every 20 seconds per enemy.”

Is the literal ingame text on Glyph of Exploit.

Ok my bad…now explain to me HOW THE HELL IS THIS BROKEN?
it’s literally has a 20 sec CD
you have perma vulnerable on almost all classes when you pick the RIGHT spells without having a EXPLOIT GLYPH

I mean did you even read the OP? It’s broken because this is only the case for 3 out of 5 classes aka not for Sor and necro.

I’m not saying the glyph itself is broken although it’s the single biggest power creep you get the game 50+.

I mean for people complaining about not being able to read…
