i kinda liked it… but tbh it dragged out alot with stuff that wasnt needed to be there.
secondary why in the hell did we not actually fight mephisto in his prime form when the expansion is LITERALLY about mephisto…?? no new pinnacle boss to beat, they could EASILY have made it into mephisto, nxt diablo then baal or tahamat, i dont get why they were milking the story of mephisto and dragging it on…
it was a huge waste of story , blizzard really think the brand of diablo will survive THAT long without the 3 prime evils walking in the game??? this is not a 20 year MMO like wow guys…

The people who wrote this story has nothing to do with the original story - or so it would seem.
There’s nothing but the names in common.

I really enjoy it
ASLAN came and saved the day at the end
really loved that boss FIGHT
btw i hope i’m gonna be able to fight UBER version when i min max my character
Because the story is about a strong independent crippled female horadrim of color subverting your expectations. You thought you would fight a prime evil? think again.

To be honest, the new campaign put me off from continuing to engage with the game and support it, it’s an ok game, but this isn’t Diablo anymore.
I should have stopped playing when it came out and they delivered something different than the vision they sold in all their prerelease devblogs.
It’s okay if you like the game and you have fun with it, it’s just not for me anymore.

I don’t want to play a Blizz story ever again…
Give me a skip dogsh… story button for all your games going forward.

Yeah well I confess I defended the Diablo IV campaign … Thought in the EXP we would deal with MEPH and go on to a hyped ending of one of the other brothers being cooked for the next expansion … But well, first time ever I think I will not be playing D4 until I can deal with the huge disapointment.
Really shitty campaign story.

We probably will in future seasons and patches.
I called it on Eru ages ago. I knew he was going to betray us all
there is no pinnacle boss fight of this guy yet, calling it now we going to get it 1/2 season or future fight added to the game. I thought it was weird we are missing a pinnacle boss. maybe so they can develop and release more story elements later on?
It’s cute that people think Blizzard will let us kill Mephisto when they already came out and said they plan on annual expansions. We might get Azmodan or Belial somewhere along the way, but killing any of the Primes is years and years away. Blizzard is just going to milk this for as long as possible until they lose almost all of the fanbase, then they’ll throw out an expansion where players will get to fight (not kill) one of the Primes, just to try to bring players back. I don’t believe they have an actual endgame planned at all. Not until the cash cow runs dry.
Gameplay-wise, the game is pretty cool from levels 1 to 60. However, the story is incredibly strange. I liked the introduction of Urivar and the storyline in the first 30 minutes, but as we progressed, it became harder for me to understand. The last video was the biggest disappointment; I expected much more. If the expansion were priced at $20, with an additional $10 to unlock Spirit Born, that would be reasonable. However, with the current price tag, the story really doesn’t deliver. At the end I just understand what we have been doing this whole time. I liked d4 story of the original game.

So they managed one thing… I have hatred now. Man the story sucked in the end. I was like ok next step but it just … ended? I really thought we would have to fight mephisto. I mainly bought the overpriced expansion for the story and it was a huge dissapointment for me. There was so much potential for a big epic endfight with cliffhanger but alas only hatred remains.

Pretty much the most disappointing ANYTHING, I’ve ever experienced… I think I finished the game, there is no main quest options showing, but it does not feel like a finish… no boss to fight at the end?? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

Exactly this! I was literally just sitting there starring at the Screen like “Wait, was that it?”
Where’s the rest of the story? You seriously can’t tell me your expansion ends with no massive boss fight, we got to fight a pathetic echo of Mephisto, but that’s it?!
Seriously, this expansion left me with a feeling of incompletion, I feel like I haven’t finished it yet, but there is no more to play… It feels super unsatisfying.

ditto, I totally quote the previous posts ; I bought the expansion only a few days ago and finished the campaign…or wait…NOT finish the campaign…but the game doesn’t have more ^^’
The base game totally drives you into the figh with mephisto, we were waiting for it. then the expansion finally arrives…the whole plot is around mephi , and you think all the time “i’m getting you finally, old bast%%% !”… and…wait what…the moment just doesn’t arrive!
I killed the damn echo of him, watched the FMV, that made me think “ok, now we’re getting all fired up for the main part”…it doesn’t even show any ENDING CREDITS, so I totally believed the campaign was gonna continue, but I COULDN’T FIND OTHER QUESTS. I had to search THE WEB to understand with certainty that the campaign was finished, and that it wasn’t a bug not letting me going on.
The biggest delusion I have ever experienced in a blizzard game. And i Play since warcraft2 came out…WHEN it came out.
Add this (out of topic but still) to the fact that for an entire season the spiritborn does 1000000damage more than the other classes, spoiling THE WHOLE experience of the game contents (it’s an online game ffs…people are searching spiritborns everywhere to farm stuff, it’s not even funny), and this is enough to cook INTENTIONALLY by blizzard the worst product ever. maybe even worst thant war3 reforged…or wait…no, maybe not.
Seriously, there is a lot to like in the game , but this is just enough to rate it very badly.
