Spiritborn really squishy on T4 at lvl 60 paragon 50

I’m getting one tapped by almost everything. I’m new to the game and playing with my brother who is min maxed to the high heavens on his necro.

I’m following the Maxroll Quill Volley build, but I don’t do any damage and get absolutely roflstomped by small flies or bats…

Neither of us know what I’m doing wrong.

Well to be fair, paragon 50 is pretty low for Torment 4, What are your armor and resistances like? Torment levels add penalties to armor and resistances.
You need to either play a really tanky build with a lot of defense mechanics or increase your hp, armor and resistances to be able to take the damage on Torment 4, more paragons would certainly help too.
Your goal is to reach at least 1000 armor and as close to 70% on all resistances as you can get, after the Torment 4 penalties are applied.
At Torment 4 the penalties are -1000 armor and -100% resistance, meaning that your total armor should be 2000 and total resistances should be ~170% to meet your goal.

Edit: Fixed penalty values, credit to @Zeturion

At T4 resistances are -100% and armor -1000 from what tip on the loading screen says.

You went to T4 too soon. If you can’t farm comfortably, you play inefficiently. Better option is to go down a dificulty.

I got the T2 values by mistake, fixed it, thanks.

It’s pretty easy to figure out what’s going on, your brother has probably carried you to the maximum level and you have the character in diapers and on top of that in Torment IV. It’s really your fault for not wanting to play the way it should be played.

You need to have a lot of CDR with that build and a lot of resource gen to hit the damage threshold, otherwise your damage goes out the window. (Just get a tin of Raid for the flies)
