So, we are a few seasons in, and yet there is no easy way to find a group to play with - Clans are full and unresponsive with players who have left or inactive, so the game desperately needs an in-built group finder.
If you have to use 3rd party software tools like Discord, just to group for an in game activity, then it’s a big fail.

Seriously, there are lots of activities that you do with other players, so if your clan is not exactly active or people offline, like many clans, then you have someone you can work with. Just makes sense. WoW is a different game, but grouping mechanics are needed in both games.
There’s nothing negative about having a group finder in game. It’s easier to find a random group of players to play with in Diablo 2, a 24 year old game, than it is in Diablo 4. It’s silly. I have lots of friends who play video games but none who like Diablo, so I rely on playing with random people online, and that’s a real hassle in D4 for things like dungeons. Even clans don’t currently have a good way of quickly grouping up a bunch of players and playing (LFG!). It’s a tedious process involving clan chat and manual invites.
Compared to D2, D4 feels like a single player game to me, and it shouldn’t. It shouldn’t be this difficult to put a group of random players together in-game. There absolutely should be a tool for teaming up with others to play together in game. There’s nothing negative about such a feature and it would make the online experience much more enjoyable. Slogging through dungeons (and now pits) over and over again completely alone is getting very very old.
A group finder in D4 would be the equivalent of teaming up with others in public games in D2. It really has nothing to do with WoW and I don’t understand the people who are making that comparison. There are games from before WoW with group/party finder type systems in them, it’s not a unique WoW invention.
Don’t worry it will be main push for paid DLC . OMG party search buy instant. They know what are they doing.
