People are morons.
When diablo 3 came out you cried that you wanted an mmo.
When they added multiplayer dynamic matchmaking in d4 and open world, you were so excited on citcon in 2019, and now after the beta you want single player. Again, this is multiplayer, not an mmo.
All is good. They did great job. I really like this kind of multiplayer.
I never asked for it in 3 or any other arpg like this.
I grew to tolerate over the few days of playing it but still is my least favourite thing about the game.
Good for you liking it, i don’t and i will say that i don’t, at least not in it’s current form. Who do you think you are telling people to stop complaining.
Do i tell you to stop liking the game because i think it’s not good?
If you didn’t like it from the start, it’s not about you. I clearly wrote about people who were delighted with multiplayer and open world and are now complaining about it.
What? Who cried about that?
People were annoyed about the fact that an internet connection was required to play D3 and it was initially the main point why I didn’t buy it on release.
Also to this day I’m mostly playing D3 by myself and I just use random people if I want to quickly do bounty farming. But I’m not actually playing with those people. I do some areas on my own while they do other areas on their own and we all get the chests at the end.
And yes, D4 with the forced multiplayer crap is not improving the game and most people playing Diablo are not doing so for an MMO experience but because they want to slay tons of enemies in a satisfying way and get cool loot from that.
Than is good it’s not about you. Don’t make unnecessary noise. Chill out bro.
Who are you telling others to be quiet about something if you cannot even provide a reasonable argument on a topic yourself?
Exactly… its a single player game always has been with the option to play with others (see there folks… OPTION to play with others). Sigh no idea why the fanboi’s can’t get this.
If you want a rat nasty mmo go play Wow… Diablo is suppose to be a single player RPG…
But the thing is that it was different than advertised in any media i have seen. It was said that you will see players in the open world but not in any big numbers so that the world still feels dangerous. Now that was just not the case in this beta. I don’t know if i was just unlucky with that but i have been constantly seeing other players one shotting mobs in front of me and sometimes i was the person one shotting mobs in front of others. That’s got nothing to do with the world feeling dangerous anymore. And aside from the big world boss, seeing other players didn’t add anything of value to the gameplay. Even the open world events were all soloable.
if you don’t like it, don’t play it simple. Fair enough?
I have a better idea, how about they fix things and you not play… sounds good to us.
In 2023 even my washing maschine have internet conection lol… its about time to move on.
And why should that be a good thing? Your washing maschine doesn’t need to be online at all and i’m sure you can operate your washing maschine if it’s not connected to the internet.
The always online idea for single player games was always trash, has been trash for years now and i have seen nobody being glad his singleplayer game is now demanding internet access.
Forcing people on a multiplayer experience might work for some that just don’t care about it but for a bunch of players it will be a deal breaker and aside from showing and selling cosmetics later on, there’s no real need for it. From a business standpoint: giving those players a choice to play solo would guarantee that you sell them the game at least, if they don’t buy the game, they won’t buy cosmetics anyway.
Overall there’s more reasons for blizzard to allow people to play the game solo than there is for blizzard not providing that choice.
At least in my book.
If it’s an option, what’s wrong with it? I personally haven’t seen a single player who interfered with my main quest or disturbed the immersion. In the open world it’s nice to see another player from time to time or do an event together. Unfortunately, that’s how it is with an old dog, you can’t teach new tricks, which is why I think people complain unnecessarily. Better adapt to it and take advantage of all the benefits.
But there is no option to play single player. That’s the point of most of the solo play threads on this forum.
And I remember quite well that even before and after the release of D3 the discussions about offline mode never completely disappeared.
I don’t care if little buddies come randomly running through I care if it affects the games performance.
No lag. No stuttering. The game runs smoothly. That’s all I want. If little buds affect that they can guyeeeeeet out.
I've made a little comparison for you and I get this things are related to itself but still i don't understand the point why it should be single player game in 2023.

Still your single player game is there, but built into open world game if You don't want to interact with online activities You don't have to. You still can do Your Main Story and focus just on solo dungeons. No problem at all.
Thanks for your nice post. Next.
