I’ve played around 2 hours of the Diablo 4 beta this evening and while performance is fine the majority of the time, there’s been a lot of stuttering that I suspect is a VRAM limit being hit?
For the majority of gameplay, the game is running fine and hits the 120 FPS cap that I’ve set in-game which matches the refresh rate of my monitor. However, there are moments where my FPS drops well below 60 FPS and my game stutters for 1-2 seconds. It’s most noticeable when traversing the overworld but it’s happened in dungeons a few times during heavy combat sequences.
I’ve left HWiNFO running in the background while playing and VRAM usage seems to constantly sit between 11-12 GB of usage. System RAM usage for the entire system also sits at around 28-32 GB depending on what’s going on in game.
