[Suggestion] Glyphs should be realm bound

Hi,

with the introduction of the armory in S7, this topic is mainly a HC thing. So I post it here.

In my oppinion, Glyph levels should be unbound from character and find there way into the Codex of Power - like aspects and tempering recipes. Mercenary progression e.g. is realm bound, too.

Dead in HC is inevitable. And that’s okay. But what’s the effort to recover and repeat? Your mats, Codex, Paragon, mercs are saved - including gem fragments and masterworking stuff. You can stash or trade gear, runes, Boss Summoning stuff and Dungeon/Hordes keys.
So, the longest and most boring part on your next character is leveling glyphs - by far. This should be fix urgently, and in my opinion, unbound Glyphs from character is the best solution for this.
Maybe even cross-class.

My personal expierence in season 6 (with new paragon system, etc.):
I’m a casual gaming dad, playing like 2 times a week. I played spiritborn until like 200 paragon and than started over with SB in HC. I died first time at like para 215 on my own mistake by overpacing pit levels. My 5 main glyphs at like 55, rest at 15. I decided to start fresh within campaign mode to get the achievement. I died to the supid falling floor close to end of campaign and started over with my 3rd HC spiritborn. I finished campaign and reached the mid game after L60. I distributed my paragon, took saved gear from stash, applied gems, runes, aspects, etc. - and oh my … I cursed so much about glyph radius and glyph leveling. What a stupid and boring sht.
But anyway: I got somewhat decent gear, made good progress, reached paragon 250, leveled my main glyphs to 100 and used some xp farming pit runs to bring every other glyph to 46+, because you never know. And died.

** happens … was my own fault. I soloed Andrial at T4 and died to the laser beam, cuz of my inattention.
So well … back to character creation. But there I stopped. Leveling glyphs again? No way!

Some last words:
With like 240 Paragon, you got every importent node. So XP is no longer a meaningful boost to character power. And with demand to run Pit for XP and glyph levels during mid game, I bored out of it. I want do other content, breathe some fresh air - If you know, what I mean. We have open world content … so please let me enjoy it.

And how would they be embebed in the paragon boards?
You’re asking for a all new Ui design in para boards, you know that?

Don’t get me wrong, i agree with you, until some point, but…

Here no. The glyphs currently are class exclusive, so there’s no way it could be a glyph sharing across classes. Sorry, but no…

This is also a problem when you want your permanent characters on the eternal server to inherit progress from seasonal ones - which is the whole point the way I see it. You inherit practically everything, down to paragon exp - glyphs should stay class-exclusive but the highest attained rank should count realm-wide. No change to UI.

I agree on sharing among season

I completely agree. Dumping a bunch of long, boring runs in the pit to relevel glyphs is, by far, the worst part about recovering from a death. By far. 100% agree with OP.
