Suggestion: Raise Skeleton as target command

One of the problems i’ve noticed while leveling main campaign and after almost level 60 now playing with my skeletons is that there isnt really a way for you to get them to attack a target you need to when theres a lot of trash around. (Stop attacking those damn walls lol)

My suggestion; Make “Raise Skeleton” skill be able to be used as a targeting skill on enemies. As in when you use the skill on an enemy, your skeletons will now attack that target.

Edit: Suggestion from discord " P4RI4H - Bone Denier": “Maybe while the raise corpse button is held it sends minions at directed target and on release it looks for a corpse to raise, so spam press is raising and priests, and hold is command?”

Thoughts?

i think all necro player are hoping for a command to direct our minions to attack a specific target ,

Its a must have, due to world events that require burst damage for Mastery, enemies with Damage Resistance Auras, and the overall lack of damage that minions do without 1 very rare Unique ring.

minion are just useless trash.

perma dead.

no damage.

retarded ai.

annoying to resummon.

the heal is too small from priest.

just sacrifice them and play sub par sorc and move on.

I reached worldtier 4 at level 57, full minionmancer no legendary glyph unlocked yet, no damage reduction on minions. I have no problem keeping them alive.

I do hate it they dont auto attack some destroyables and i cant focus them on certain objectives. If minion attack would be linked to golem slam or even curse that would be great

reaching tier 4 isnt an issue, doing tier 4 nightmare dungeons is the issue.

I am REALLY MAD at the fact that due to how minions do not block mobs from jumping straight at you… you are right.

The way D4 is designed, is to be played on console. There are just design choices in place that make no sense whatsoever for the PC market.

Make summon and explosion auto target. it is super annoying and not fun on pc. ruins my class.

it already used to summon priest to heal , we dont need another action for the same skill…

it needs to be a separate command on a separate additional keybind

no good adding it to generator skill either(this has been suggested a few times as well) as a lot of minion necros dont use one ,

Yes its used as a summon priest, but what i meant was when it’s used on a living enemy.

Its hard since it need to work for console.
Maybe the best Option would be to have a legendary or something that says your minions allways attack your target or something.
And raise skeleton not costing a corpse while summon cap is not reached would be nice.

Just simply make them fixated on the target you’ve dealt the most damage to OR currently attacking with a basic skill (this more useful early on as later you’ll most likely will not use a basic skill), but a a separate attack/command button could also work, just don’t make us waste more skill slots on the already limited bar.

we need a separate keybind away from the skill bars ,

not hard , and stupid decision to base the entire game and ui around console users . If console users have to press 2 buttons to activate it then that can be done just as easily ,ie left and right trigger at same time .

we need a command minions to attack this target and stay on it until its dead .

Wont argue against you there, my statement was more like, well blizzard wont do it anyway since console, we on pc have so many small things where you can clearly see that console was first prio.

You could very easily have a controller layout that maps 16 actions on various buttons/combos, and that’s just the baseline; probably a multiple of it with a tiny bit more effort. It’s not complicated at all. But for an absolute starter, we could have dodge back on the completely unused right stick, instead of wasting circle on it - there’s your extra button for command skeletons.

Requiring corpses and manual resummoning was the mistake, the pointless skeleton priest just the cherry on top. Especially with how utterly underpowered they all are anyway.

This is annoying, I did complain about this in beta. However, no dice my friend. Hope they fix it before I grow old.

It will be nice but D4 isn’t about target a minion since that was D3. Blizzard move away from that to go back to D2 style. The walls are an emeny you can use somehting else to break them. The idea without target command is to skrimish while carefully maneuver yourself around so the skeletons can hit what you want. Killing certain amount will guide the skeleton to a location of the next monster. Takes certain amount of skill to do this.

Start with one then go up to the maxium amount. Pc will be easier with a mouse and a controller will be hard but not that hard. In case others are confuse watching videos on how to do this is a great way to learn Necro. I’ve haven’t tested the other minions in the Necro pet build.

Pretty much what I did. Minions are dog water.
