I decided to play Sorc again this season because I knew that Spiritborn was going to be broken af, as usual I follow guides on Maxroll.
I’m now in T4 with all Mythic gear Uniques Ancestral all with MW 8/12 and paragon 220+ and I’m having very hard times to clear T4 hordes, if run goes well I can get a max of 250 aethers compared to the 700+ I get from T3, than I invite my friend that play Spiritborn and one shot everything in nanoseconds.
This feels very very unbalanced, I know that Spiritborn is the class of this season, but some people like to play other classes which are to much weak compared to the new.
I had very good time get to T4 and max out my gear to be able to blast in T4, unfortunately this was not the case and I just don’t fell to start a broken class like spiritborn so I’m going to quit this season here and wait for the next.
What’s your overall opinion about the unbalance classes of this season.
Is any Sorc there that blast in T4 without issue, if so what build are you using ?

I pretty much only play Sorcerer as its my favorite class. It used to be somewhat more fun to play than early days but now it sucked hard.
Spiritborn is OP and broken because they need to sell the expansion, if it would be as nerfed and balanced as the rest of the classes it would not sell. Its pay-to-win mechanic imo, but if that is what it takes to sell it that is what they definitely do. No shame what so ever.
Just uninstall the game and wait for PoE2

I’m not going to pay again for an Early Access, tired of paying for long term testing, will wait for PoE2 when is fully released next year, going back to No Man’s Sky for a while or maybe I will try the Spiritbroken to see how broken is
never had problems with Maxroll guides, always got me when I wanted
Not all of them are good. Sorc are pretty bad for example.
The paragon boards and glyphs they use in frozen orb sorc are hilarious.

I have 4 GA FoF perfect and a 4 GA Winterglass 86%, all the mythics and pretty cracked gear and I am seeing highs of 3-400m. It’s enough for Hordes and Helltide and stuff in WT4 but considering the gear investment, it’s significantly weaker than any other build I have played this season, despite it being my best geared build. It’s so overnerfed which is pretty sad. I am honestly okay with the Conjuration limits and stuff to deal with lag, but the base damage is just simply too low compared to other builds not to mention damage wise, the paragon board feels a little weak, 4/5 glyphs are just bonuses to magic and rare nodes because it’s just simply better, the glyphs are weak.
Personally only checking a guide for paragons mostly. Builds just rolling with what I feel like works and usually its a variation of the guide site builds.
you’re spot on. spiritborns are doing 1000x more damage than the next best class/build. it’s quite ridiculous and stupid. but that’s what d4 has become. last season i played was s4, and barbs where destroying everything in a similar way. not as ridiculously overpowered as spiritborns are now, more like “only” 100x more damage.
blizzard can’t balance. and they don’t want to. not sure why, but most people seem to be OK with it. i’m going to pass up next season again.
but this state of the game is just broken beyond comprehension.
tried so many sorc builds this week. only one actually does damage, the highest pit i managed to clear with it was 85. still not max glyphs though(cant level them myself )
try the fire ball red wedding on mobalytics
You have to understand the fact that it is p2w expansions, the first couple of seasons the new classes will be insanely overpowered because it sells for the weebs. Nobody buys a weak class, if it was instantly balanced to the power of the rest of the classes.
Now I really wonder what you said O_o
Broken classes are the most fun to play. Therefor I would Suggest Blizzard to make more classes broken. Players like buffs more than nerfs. But it would seem like they have many limitations in their engine and server to allow for a certain number of projectiles and other types of things to allow for it. I started playing this game at the end of last season and while I had a sorcerer I mostly played Rogue as the Andariel build looks really fun. I usually never invest this early in a game but bought the expansion and with that I also started the new season with spiritborn. Its way OP and with all the broken builds I can see how its not promoting any other classes to be played.
I’m playing the Chain Lightning, FrostWrath version. I’m having a very easy time in the horde but founding it difficult to min max the build because of horrible gear drops.
I started off with Frozen orb and had a blast in all mobbing content, didn’t have issues with the hordes but I hated the bossing so decided to change.
I like the chain lightning build just really struggling with finding the right ancestral legendaries. Even the Mythical items were easier to get than the leggos which is absurd.
Both of the builds I followed to a T were from Lurkin btw, and I really had fun playing FORB last season. This season I feel we were badly nerfed again with all the caps to atk spd and conjuration limitations

I was thinking about moving to chain lightning too, started as you did with Frozen orb, but it feels like really time consuming changing the whole thing now. I have all the gear and not a bad one for it, but man its boring to change whole thing now.
The funny part is there are aspects that should give us an option to keep the Frozen orb running a few more Pits, but they dont work. when in full conjuration and making the highest possible damage I thought of using the exploiters aspect, that should do x45% damage on top, that should have melted every enemy in sight when triggered, instead the elites sit for a coffee and wait for the timer to run out while their broken chain over their heads reminds me about the irony of it.
Magnificent design by Blizzard. I haven’t played the whole weekend and I dont think I will come back for events or anything similar. So the fun has run out, from 100% in season 5 playing till the last minute to 0% in season 6 in couple of weeks.

God… the S5 Sorc was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed every second of season 5. It seems they did everything opposite in S6.
Gear was super easy to find, everything sat in place. I’m struggling with even the basic stuff this time around. Really killed my sorc buzz this season
