It would be ok if chance for *, ** and *** would be 20, 10 and 5 percent.
Or they can remove all the useless affixes. It isn’t fun as a barbarian when you get damage to distant and then you have all damage on tuesdays. They are only in the temper manual to brick items. And you have to level a rogue to temper critical strike damage and vulnerable as a barbarian.
It isn’t fun when you finally find a weapon with 2 greater affixes that you need and then you get damage to distant or damage to crowdcontrolled.
It’s hard enough to find items with 2 greater affixes that you need for your build.
It was actually easier to get good gear with the old system, because you could not brick them.

“tampering” is not rng, it’s designed by psychologists not developers, to increase player retention - any dev with half a brain will fix this bs after the second bricked item! lizzard has repeatedly demonstrated that player retention is more profitable and important than players enjoying a well designed game… hence the garbage so called rng
In the good old days, when Blizzard employed great developers and game designers, they created games like World of Warcraft, which at its peak was played by millions of people. There was no “tempering” involved; when an item dropped, you knew its name and its stats. RNG was about whether an item or mount dropped from a boss, not the stats of items or some tempering system that can’t be reversed. To remind you, if someone wanted top-tier items in WoW, they defeated the boss multiple times.
Now, we have these strange game designers who make each item have a different name and different stats, causing frustration among players. Players are leaving Blizzard games because instead of focusing on polishing the game, they are constantly fixing some bugs and creating new ones. Let’s look from the start: when Diablo 4 was released, items had such random stats that no one used many of them. Season 4 was supposed to bring a reset and make the game enjoyable, but we got tempering, which completely ruins the game. Not to mention the perpetual shortage of gold.
If Blizzard continues in this direction, it will end poorly. They should return to the roots of their games, where people had fun playing.

my sorcerer is still on mostly 1GA gear few bit’s are 2GA because i can’t pay 50 billion for 3GA gear or use irl money and even if i did have 50 billion (that i don’t) taking it to be tempered would give me Mad anxiety
rn finding gear has 0 dopamine hits for me.
this had been my most unlucky season yet. i think i have had 2 or maybe 3 3GA items and all have been useless!
i found a 4 GA unique once BUT it was a soulbrand and Nobody wants that
the best ubers in diablo are obtained far too easy to be considered ubers, more like regular legendaries you just have to wait until you have leveling up for.
done a lot of tormented bosses and only found one 1GA shako with hp -_-
