This topic is meant to be constructive, so in order to get Blizzard’s attention, I would like to present the most common problems which come hand in hand with the Tempering working mechanism and of course, my simple and easy solutions for them.
So, after I almost rage-quit because of Tempering which destroyed a LOT of my items (gave bad Affixes) in which I spend a LOT of time farming, I decided to do some research and I came to the conclusion that I understand all the constructive and diversity ideas which come in play with the Affixes but I also do not understand Blizzard’s hidden dark ways of keeping players focused in the game and by that I mean, farming gear like a crazy man in hope of getting the perfect drop with desired stats and when you finally get it, you can not really be fully happy about it because the next step will be to apply Tempering which is frustrating and is making people rage-quit (most of the time) because of the excessive RNG involved in getting the desired Affixes.
So, after a long wall of text, here are my simple solutions in order to make Tempering and the whole game experience more pleasureble for everybody :
1 - change the Tempering working mechanism so that you will get a different Affix per each temper roll - so, in other words, that will also eliminate the pretty common and frustrating problem where you get the same Affix 2 or 3 times in a row - in this way, with the 5 available temper rolls you will have a good probability of getting both desired Affixes on the same item
2 - give the possibilty to add more temper rolls to an item in exchange of materials or gold or a different item which you can get from events or dungeons - in this way, the players can finally have a certain level of security that the ideal found item won’t become useless after Tempering
In conclusion, both solutions I gave have the purpose of keeping the player base happy and satisfied and of course, playing for fun !
