I want to like the game, but good lord, boss fights as a squishy character is just HORRIBLE. I’m being hit from an attack that’s a good meter away from my character, bosses will lift their arm I TAKE DAMAGE -then- they swing. It makes being a class cannon damn near IMPOSSIBLE to play, if I ever engage in boss fights.
Please for the love of God, I hope this is a beta issue and will be addressed later.
I want to play on hardcore, but it’s not possible at this point in the game. I don’t want to refund over or quit over something like this, but it changed D4 from being a great game, to insanely frustrating.

It seems to me like all was scaled for ranged characters. Game is incredibly easy as sorcerer and quite challenging as barbarian at least without good gear and up to lvl 15+ I would say. Seems like if you cannot face tank a boss with barb it’s really hard to win. Avoiding mechanics is nearly impossible so for barb every boss is just a big DPS check

totaly agree. the animation is too fast, you only have a split second to move away, and I find that the boss track you even when the animation started. On top of that, it’s hard sometime to target enemies. I have difficulties with my rogue to teleport behind. Click, click, nothing happen or don’t target the mob I want. Lot of time my attacks just go in another direction. Your attack follow the mob but since they move super fast your AOE go the wrong way. PAinful with the barb kick.

I agree, playing rogue and sorc for the beta. Animations seems to “lock” on melee, making it impossible to dodge at times unless you can use the dodge ability. Not really a issue with ranged, seems to be alright for rogue with the mobility but horrible for the barb at this point in the game. Also please remember that we are playing at lvl 25, there is not that much unlocked yet, it will pop off later im sure for barbs.
This is exactly the problem, so every major encounter is designed for ranged not one for melee. It makes it obscenely difficult with all of the ground AOE and large hit boxes. If this is a sign to come the vast majority of players will be playing sorcerer which is really too bad!
More over, if you try to avoid the waves straight ahead you geting body block from something that is not even exist because lilith gonna land in that spot after she finished with the wave animation. delaying my character to go from point A to B so sometimes i got hit from the waves,the hitbox is so bad and you cant even do 2 dashes and move imidiatly after that, the character seems to stack in animation and delaying to move. The bad thing is that is not beta…and everything feels like that.
I’m Currently playing as a druid on PC, the hitbox it to small. often I find my self standing in the monsters and not moving or hiting anything. I would suggest next patch increase the hit box a little on the PC version espcially for close up meely players. cheers
