The Big first D4 update

Opening YouTube today I read about the big changes made to Diablo IV thanks to the community comments. Do you say it is correct? Personally I was interested in reading the changes to the classes and apart from the Druid who ALL said a currently “problematic” class, the other classes were mostly BUFFED while especially one NERFED - the developers have never seen gameplay videos about it, certainly NOT , but listened to the “usual community of crying children”. I close this “discussion” to say 2 SHOTS for the Barbarian and FIVE SECONDS for the Rogue to kill the Butcher … the Necromancer over 30 seconds!

When people play the classes without full legendries to level 50 when the drop rate is normal and you’re not stuck on level 25, with the monsters getting increasingly powerful as you level with a fraction of the gear drops you needed during the beta they will probably be crying for immediate buffs on the wiz and necro.

I’ll take it as it comes, I’ve just seen to many Beta feedback forms asking for nerfs on characters that where unrealistically geared compared to the normal game, and the devs have listened to and acted on that

Also what came first? the chicken or the egg, the launch or the update

I have intentionally not geared my sorc with full legendary and still had the easiest time of my life with chain lightning and hydra. Meanwhile, with the druid in full bear skillset, all you do is play around one skill that holds all of your damage (pulverize). It’s not unreasonable to ask for balancing, whether that’s nerfs or buffs, when you see some classes and skills zoom through the content and others struggling to even do enough damage for normal mobs.
Whichever changes you want to see, the final decision is always with Blizzard, so if there are bad changes, I wouldn’t really blame the players in this forum.

They did very good changes imo.
Changed some bosses so they more Meele friendly which was an issue playing barb.
Gave barb 10% damage reduction but took away some of it from passives to compensate, also increased WW damage and fury cost.
Sorcerer chain lighting was ridiculous and got nerfed thank god.
Necro for a slight nerd to corpse explosion which was OP as well.
Druid needed an overall buff so it is done.
Changed up some dungeon mechanics, less backtracking, faster interactions. Win win

The list goes on but honestly I don’t see anything bad on there, it’s actually shocking they’ve listened to community and acted so quickly on it as well.

The easiest time of your life at level 25 in act 1, like in most games at the start? As soon as the wizard gets disintegrate at level 18 in diablo 3 it once shots everything up-to near enough torment 1, or until the wiz gets to level 30 in hard, same thing here, no? oh wait, you can’t answer that as we never even seen level 37 to make the comparison on a partial beta.

“People on mass ask for very very specific changes” > “developer implements those changes to appease the players (a potential wait and see, told you so)” > “developer gets all the blame for the change later down the line.”… Ladies and gentlemen, the logical mind of someone raised on the internet. All of the vocal power, absolutely none of the responsibility for it.
