The concept of stats

Stats is there to represent the traits of the character. Like Strength is to represent physical prowess; Intelligence to represent cunning and wits; Dexterity to represent nimbleness and speed; Willpower to represent stubborness and resilience.
But in D4 three of the stats are worthless and only one stat is good because only one stat represent the character’s prowess while the other stats are minor.
D4 stats are not real stats in this sense. I can’t make a Willpower Rogue or a Dexterity Barbarian, that would just be super gimp. So why does these stats appear on items for me? To give more failed rolls.
Thanks.

the stats are there for padding to force you to play longer than needed to get gear with the 1-3 stats that are the best for all the classes when each class is suppose to be unique and should be built differently.

yea… it’s not good. it’s very much inflating the item amount having uncountable amounts of damage stats that no one wants.
This ring:
Crit
Resource
Luck
Life
is the only ring I’m looking for. I’ve tried damage on injured but it flopped.
there’s the starless one too. but then I feel I have to get out of combo and idk about that. it’ll be worth it though but still… why can’t i get something i want?

i fully agreed with you.
