The game connection has been lost: your client has been disconnected from the server

I’ve been trying to play Diablo iV since the Vessel of Hatred update (everything worked ok before the update), but get kicked after 20 seconds or so every time I’m in the game (after character selection). In those few seconds I’m not able to assign skillpoints, sometimes the character is invisible and sometimes the wardrobe is invisible. I’ve tried reinstalling, new video drivers, flushing dns-cache etc, but I think it’s a connectivity problem as another PC in our house where I tried playing Diablo has the same problem. The error message is: The game connection has been lost: your client has been disconnected from the server. Does anybody know what to do?

This happened to me twice, once during a fight with a final boss in a dungeon, but of course that doesn’t happen, so I can start over again.

Thanks for your reply, I’ve tried your actions too but unfortunately nothings seems to help. Tech support does not seem to have more advice than what we’ve already tried. I don’t think it’s on my end though. I think this needs to be fixed from the server side.
