Jumped on for the first time in a couple weeks to see how the new patches have effected D4 and decide whether I want to play S1, turns out my level 100 sorc has been nuked into oblivion… but so has nightmare tier dungeons. People moaning about damage nerfs but i’m stronger than ever
Despite being nuked from max Arc lash 2,6mil to 800k, I cleared a nm 65 as if it was tier 40, I would at least struggle a little pre-patch
I’ve read the patch notes and watched the campfire chats
In short, it seems to me that the solution to ‘balancing’ and making other builds more viable was not only nuking dps but also nuking the difficulty of nightmare dungeons making alternative builds feel stronger? I don’t think the Meta’s have changed or balanced at all you can simply zombie your way around the easy game how you want now, without a challenge
combine that with the lack of density… Which yeah I hear is going to be added… hope it’s worth the wait, as a few mobs here n there isn’t going to cut it
I do regret paying the release price tag but i’m sure this game will be a decent contender in a couple years
K now go play sorc on seasonal realm see how much easier it became… it’s a total drag you take a minute to kill a single elite…
Exp is slower, and everything costs more gold/mats and is unaffordable.
didnt see anything in the patch notes about costs increasing, so basically the game is harder if you start from scratch but once your fully geared its ez again? I assume the nerfs/patches affected the eternal realm same as the seasonal?
Can’t say about sorc and barb, because even devs said they need and will get a buff.
But for other classes WT1-WT3 is way easier with new gems
Yeah, go try in seasonal. You may feel stronger because of renown and then suddenly it hits you when you start making your build. Takes you way longer to kill, and you are more squishy. Gotta pop those hearts even if they suck just to get some armour. Sorc is not as squishy as most of us feared, but it does feel squishier than before.
I never had to pay 400k gold for repairs before, i do now lol…
Also the eternal realm it was super easy to equip aspects, now i have to farm mats everytime i get one…
yeah, I did figure that might be the case, all well and good being a fully spec’d sorc at level 100 but I guess two thirds of my max damage gone in one patch transferred to a naked start up would be less of a challenge more of a huge disadvantage nerf
I reached level 100 in less than two weeks on release so ideally the challenge for me would be at the end… I don’t expect a polished end game from any mmo on first release but I do expect challenging content
Or at least engaging content where the dungeons are overflowing with stuff to kill lol
SkFy yeah that is a lot… I just repaired my stuff on sorc … was around 20/30% and it only cost 220k … why so different, you using a few uniques maybe?
Are you joking… I play sorc and wipe out entire mobs and elites in seconds. Get Gud…
I played Necro in eternal to 100. Although I could 1 shot almost everthing with bone spear, Im so glad I am currently playing Sorc. I can wipe out entire mobs and elites without having to kite 24/7. I literally jump into the middle and let chaos reign.
Glad you can quickly wipe level 10 mobs
It did got better after being able to afford using aspects though

You are obviously leveling extremely fast and sorc should be nerfed.
God knows how you managed to reach tier 4 this quickly.
And you even kill mobs 10 levels above your own level! So impressive.

I’m sure you’ll completely destroy nightmare tier100 dungeons, mobs there are nowhere near 10 levels higher than you after all.
Did you wipe Lilith yet? or you feel sorry for her?
lvl 82 now taking on lvl 122 monsters with a C Tier build. Most elites die within 10 seconds… Bring on the patch tomorrow. Ill let you know when I reach Lilith…
