Playing, what’s it called again, an Eternal? character, on Normal, Hard, Export or Pentinent, level 50 and below, I don’t see any other players.
I believe I’ve played for about 4h yesterday since a longer break, because I don’t see why I should spend another 40€ for an “expansion” of an unfinished game, so I stopped playing and out of boredom installed it again yesterday, also to test the new 5080 gpu, and I saw 2 players, level 50 both, separate in different locations, idling.
Its a seasonal game, and we are almost 3 months into the season, most people are done and long gone. They will be back for season 8 by the end of this month. Most people dont stick arround for the full duration of a season.
Here’s the thing. Blizzard isn’t doing much to keep players happy either. There is literally NO WAY to file a bug or ticket on console, other than using the forum, which basically means we have no means of escalating our issues for an actual resolution. I have been waiting for months to get back my purchased and hard earned cosmetics that randomly went missing after a patch. I’m not going to pour more money and time into a game if they can’t even bother to value us enough to give us a legitimate way to speak to them and create tickets. Why am I going to pay for seasons or cosmetics to lose the rewards or purchases a few patches later. I have better things to spend my time and money on.
The game is also a pointless grind that doesn’t change at level 60.
I spent 2 days grinding to 60 with a new season char and thought something is going to happen at 60, but it’s just more grind, paragon levels instead of uh regular levels.
The game plays exactly the same at lvl 1 and at lvl60.
I haven’t even paid attention to the “legendary” imprints or w/e those things are called, just replaced lower gear score with higher.
The game is boring. And they have the nerve to ask at least 40€ for an “expansion”.

Season was more populated but nowhere near what it was.
I’m still angry that I was lured by the free beta and wasted money on absolute boring garbage. And they can put the expansion pack for 40 euros somewhere. The only thing they did well was graphically remastered D2. The game is original and I’m very happy to return to it.
