The game's biggest problem

Dear developers, I really hope you read this. As a current game designer and fan of the series, I want to note that the game’s biggest problem is not loot, not seasons, not a store, and not balance fluctuations with patches. The main problem of the game is auto-leveling.

I’m not interested in playing. I’m not interested in leveling, because leveling works against me - with getting a level, oddly enough, I become weaker, because monsters get stronger, but the equipment on me does not change. I do not get joy from loot - because it does not make me stronger, but only allows me to remove the backlog from the monsters. I get no interest in exploring the world, because wherever I go - I get the same level of difficulty that I get if I don’t leave the start location at all and farm mini-events.

I beg you very, very much - give up the chthonic monster of mobile game development, generated by Oblivion - autoleveling. Let the player decide for himself whether he wants to challenge and bang his head against the highlevel zone, or whether he wants to return to abandoned locations and dominate, enjoying how much stronger he has become since his last visit. On this I say goodbye to you, because in its current form the game does not give fan, but I sincerely hope for changes.

Sincerely yours, fan of Diablo 1, 2, 3, but, alas, not 4

This is exactly it !! The level scaling is the worst decision a dev can make in arpg.

The main problem though I believe is the legendary affixes that supposed to be the main source of power gain are the same at lv 10 and at lv 100. If the max stat on legendary affix was increase damage by 20% it will always be the same no matter what item level it is and as a result of it legendary items feel more significant at lower levels then higher ones and you lose power since the monster grow in power where your build defining stats do not.

If you were going to get bis legendary gear at lv 10 and bis lv 100 legendary gear then the lv 10 would feel more powerful while killing mobs by a mile as the scaling is completely off.

After reaching level 100 i can honestly attest to the most fun part of this journey being the use of conduit shrines. They are the only thing in Diablo 4 that makes me feel both powerful and that gives me that highly important sense of RNG luck that vastly outweighs finding even the best gear in the game. How sad is that?

You are tenacious. I couldn’t do that

You can do level 1 NMD. And there you will find you are stronger than monster. Easy.
