There is a problem. Players dont get enough gold from Content the devs intended us to do.
The current way to get enough gold to afford a Millions of Golds to reroll a single item is to run normal dungeons and pick up every item and just sell it to a vendor.
I dont believe that was the intended vision for this.
The Fact that Nigtmare dungeons give you gold was a good thinking. However a Tier 100 Nightmare dungeon, the highest and most endgame content you do gives you around 8000 gold is downright insulting.
The Greed Shrine? I’m not 100% sure it’s bugged or not but no matter your level it gives around 150 gold per mob killed. Which is once again. Just insulting. I havent clicked on a greed shrine in like a week because it’s just so meaningless.
This leaves the player with no choice just to go back and do normal dungeons and sell all the loot.
With all this, players are discouraged from trying out builds, because respeccing the Skill Tree, Paragon Tree and Rerolling items just cost so much gold the player doesnt have.
I myself wanted to try out different builds on my Barb other then WW. But I ended up spending 3 days just farming gold for rerolls and now I spend to do it again to try another build. This is not good game design.
However it can be solved so easily.
Just drastically increase the gold reward from Nightmare Dungeons, Higher the Tier, More gold you get.
Fix or Update the Greed shrine so it gives actually meaningful gold per mob kill.
Maybe bring back Goblin variants and have a golden goblin who just drops a huge sum of gold.
The whole game feels like it was built around the Diablo 3 costs but the Devs forget to put in the Diablo 3 gold obtaining methods.
This situation might also make players to seek out “Other” means to get gold. Which is really not good.
