The most boring Diablo game!

We’ve been waiting for a new Diablo game for years! And we’ve finally got it! Dark, grotesque, horror Action RPG. Great story, great visuals. I loved every bit of it on my first play through!

Here come the nasty stuff!

WORST OPTIMIZATION FOR A AAA GAME! Why do I get MY game throttled up everytime a player comes close ? I know it loads all of their useless junk in their stash! WHY??? Is there really a need for that bullshit?

Then comes the combat! Who’s idea was that BUILDER-SPENDER gameplay is fun? IT’S NOT!!! If I play Sorcerer, I WANT MY SCREEN TO BE FILLED WITH CHAINLIGHTNINGS AND METEORS! If I play Necromancer I WANT TO SPAM BONE SPEAR OR BLOOD LANCE TO MY HEART’S CONTENT, OR TO HAVE EVERYTHING ON THE SCREEN BE OBLITERATED BY ONE BONE SPIRIT! Not use some silly useless ability just to build resources to be able to cast 3 BONE SPEARS, THREE!!!

And the leveling system. Oh my god it’s horrible! Zero to no impact whatsoever, besides some stat boost and a freaking skill point. Also it is boring as hell to level up, especially on a seasonal characters! Either make it faster, and I mean like atleast 10 times faster or make it more meaningful, like getting paragon points every level, starting from level 1.

Then comes the shitty renown system. Why do I have to do all the boring stuff again and again to get my paragon points? WHY?!!?!? Why are you wasting my time? It’s not a fun grind at all!!! At the very least rearrange the rewards! Level 1 potion charge, Level 2 Skill point, Level 3 Paragon points. Level 4 and 5 can have the useless stuff I don’t need, like Max Obols.

This game has so much potential, yet playing it feels like it is all wasted, as well as my time playing it.

FIX IT!

Every time i go into a city my game lags for good 30sec till i can move and for what? that i can see some random people running around? and because of that i cant use skills in the city so i always need to run out when i want to try my build.

I love playing minion necro too bad that every damn legendary only has effects for bon/blood skills. But yeah the skills are all so boring where is my multishot demon hunter where i can speed through a portal and kill everything before its even on my screen?

Lvl 60 should be the max lvl, its just insane how damn long everything takes also why are there just 4 difficulty options? Having 16 difficulty options in d3 was the most fun part where you could see your progress it was such a good feeling when you finally can play on t1 and then you go up and up till you are 16.

I dont know what you mean doing 30+ boring lame and always the same quests for each part is fun i cant imagine anything better its not like doing the bounties in d3 was already the worst part of the season

The game is absolutely awesome when you play through the story till you get lvl 50 and then everything else is just awful lame and boring and takes far too much time.

I’m just going to pop in here and mention barbarians are absolute crap now, wasting 3 skill slots for useless shouts that makes us worthless without them.

Also what happened to the loot? Every single unique item in the game is worthless for barb so the only loot I can ever get is a piece of shit yellow where I have to delete a legendary to get an aspect to put on the yellow. The entire system is garbage.

Diablo 3 does everything so much better.

I tried playing mage in the season got to lvl 20 and it was so unfun and i was so weak then i started as necro again and i 1-2 shot basically all normal enemies

Yes i played necro in season 0 and all items just had effects for blood/bone and maybe 2-3 for minions so i ended up mainly playing a minion/darkness dmg over time build

but the worst part is they all seem so lame compared to 3 the normal legendary items are all basically normal items nothing special

Diablo we know is dead if u want to build kent shooting laser with his eyes u can but this feels like lane with camera fighting meta humans

Oh god, I tried, I really did.

Played Season 1 for 6 or 7 hours and bored out of my mind again.

FIX IT!

I don’t think they can, they would need to re-do Everything! Starting with the campaign, middling with music, world building and gameplay, ending in a vast expansion of end-game content.

The magic of a Diablo world has been lost :frowning:

Literally took me 2 minutes finishing a campaign quest in one town and having the next quest objective in the next town, didn’t encounter a single monster travelling from one town to the other. Happened multiple times in my 7 hours… the world feels so dead :frowning:

Bro i feel ya. The game itself ain’t that bad imho. Graphics are cool, skills are really hitting, you really feel all these impacts and destruction. But for God sake WHY do i have to hear “Not enuff %RESOURCE%” and waste time building the resource back (or silly-billy running around if ur playin sorc). That’s the worst part of the game tbh. Let’s be honest, the game really have something to offer when you turn from “I GOTTA GET LVL 100 ASAP AND GET ALL UNIQUES” to “Oh ima havin fun stomping the enemies”. There’s no point to rush. It’s like you want to skip everything to the finall boss, oneshot him and uninstall saying “This gaem is shit”.

p.s. Im playing sorc, which is shit tier now. Maybe a bit better than barb.

Well, i dont think the magic has been lost it is still alive in us after all, that is also why this current game is so disappointing, its our love for the franchise and our expectations that drew us back to Diablo IV.

Of course now its drawing us back to other games and previous titles like Diablo 1/2/3.

I played immortal for a few days… and disliked it, simply because it just didn’t feel like Diablo to me in any shape or form, Diablo IV for the gore as well as the dark side it feels like Diablo ][, but the rest of it is so out there and with so many issues for various people with one thing or another i mean its an endless list of issues… i have helped some people on the forums with technical side… but tbh its not my job im only doing it because blizzard is giving people automated responses to which of course these people are not actually getting replies back from the helpdesk, its frustrating… i have no issues at all hardware/software related i just find the game incredibly dull at this point, its why i am on the forums mostly replying too others.

I played Diablo 1 earlier with the devilutionx mod, ran great and loved every minute of it until i died and then i was like ah… yes i remember this now… lols… Diablo 1 of course being “normal mode = Hardcore” there is no second chances, no respawn, i mean you could always reload the save but you will have to go round saving very very often because the game is totally that random, you never know what you will run into, that in a way is what makes it interesting as well as harsh, i do not get that same feeling from Diablo IV even with Nightmare runs… feels devoid of life… i think half of that is its difficult to find groups when there is no UI that allows you to do a search, or even chat within global… the world feels dead.

Indeed, I feel like my love of the Diablo franchise is being hurt by playing Diablo 4… I think it’s best I stop playing now and retain the nostalgic feels I get from thinking of 1, 2 and 3 before it’s too late! (Never played Immortal, sounds like I dodged a bullet there!).

Haha yes, it says a lot about a game when spending time on the forum is more enjoyable than the game itself! I’ve most certainly spent more time reading peoples opinions than playing the game at this point!

Thank you, you’ve reminded me of the nostalgia and challenge of killing Diablo in the first game and what an achievement that felt at the time! (I think it took me many attempts) I got it again in Diablo 3 being… as far as I am aware the first Solo Monk to kill Diablo on the hardest setting, leaping ahead of all my friends progress teehee. What fun! (I also sold an item on the AH that paid off the cost of the game, wheeee).

Diablo 4 campaign was so easy! It was over before I even considered min-maxing my hastily put together build, I didn’t die once! (No special items dropped, no idea of what I was doing with my build…)

In Season 1 I started from scratch, build-blind again, the patch nerfs… no renown carry-over, no exploration or side quests done, riding my horse from main-quest to main-quest… Just the campaign and nothing else! And I still did not get a whiff of a challenge (Making it past act 4 before getting bored).

Maybe my mistake was playing a softcore character, but with the servers being so abysmally poor I would have raged more than I have after a rubber-band-death. >.<

RIP Diablo Franchise. May my nostalgia of the first 3 games live on!

Dear developers, you have created a good game, but boring. Why didn’t you take up the mechanics of sharpening gears? After all, this will significantly revive the game and your Helltide will be a place for farming since there will not be enough resources for sharpening. Make equipment sharpening, with percentages!!!

Christ… i just downloaded Diablo 3… played it and its been such a long time since i played it i was lost in space, at least i had global chat but the chat is full of peeps who are only concerned with diablo 3 like nothing exists but D3… i felt alienated, was an awkward experience.

i know, i already unnistalled this crap game, activision / microsoft will not get me in their trap to spend more money on a game you already payed 100€ for it lol, Blizzard is dead anyways

Have to put in a few notes from myself.

The game feels cluncy, slow, boring and barren. The only good thing i see is the campain, great plot, hope to see more of that.

I dont feel powerful as a character, gameplay is slow, grinding, makes me tired after a short while. Its simply just not satisfying to finnish a dungeon or a quest. I dont get it why devs just ignored all the good stuff in D3 and ROS and just went ignore on all the achivements of previous game. The difficulty system makes me scratch my head. I cant regulate almost nothing about it. It feels rushed and ill-considered. In D3 at least we could adjust rifts or torments to our liking. I dont understand why the paragon system makes me build around nods thus forcing me to allocate specific atributes. That is just a pain in the butt since gear doesnt grant any atributes. Why work and grind to get more paragons if I cant use them? Who thought it would be a good idea? Skills feel barren, weak and absolutely no fun. I have to use all my skills just to kill trash mobs or maybe an elite. Diablo was always easy and fun to play and hard to master. That means it should be harder in the end game - 90 lvl +, not since the beginning. Also there is simply no way for low lvl characters to get exp fast. You have to go through the campaign even if you dont want to do it again. There is no freedom to choose what I want, the player who brings in the money to the company. It feels so limiting even when using mounts. Who made the decision with using that cluncy, iritating horse, getting stuck in everything all the time, to have a cooldown? Why? What for? I just cant wrap my head around it. Are you trying to artificially extend the “gameplay” by creating mechanics to slow down progress? D3 was almost unplayable when it released but after many years they updated the game to be a really good product, fun to play, fast pace action, powerful spells and skills. Now i feel like they just flushed all the previous experiences and just decided to get back to D1 mechanics for no reason.

You guys have a lot of work ahead. The game is not worth its price now.

PS, why do I have to pay for reseting my skill tree? This is simply just retarded considering how much gold Im getting while playing which is almost nothing. And rerolling stats on gear requires some exotic crap not avaiable to most people. Why? Why not use gold? It worked fine in D3. The list of crap in this game just goes on and on.

Ure absolutely right.
I played D1 … D3 then I bought D4
It takes horrible space to install (but it is ok).
There are many video and dialogue, which can’t skipped.
Graphics is cool. This the only positive thing
Very boring, I’m lvl 43 now at end of act3, but quit the game easily.
I don’t feel any excitement, challenge … just boring monotonous battles, very often the same locations.
Not worth its price, nor the half. It is absolutely forgottable.

I can’t speak for the whole game, but I was able to skip everything in act 1 on release of D4 (skipped because I played through it in beta). So I don’t understand it when people bring this up, you just have to spam esc at the right time or multiple times and everything can be skipped.
