The Mythic Item Nonsense Towards The End Of The Game

How funny!!!

At some point, if you’re lucky, you might find some mythic item from the lair bosses. Some people never find one at all…

Honestly, why should I even be happy if I finally find a mythic item right before I’m done with a season?

After the season, everything is gone anyway, and it’s completely useless to me by then…

It’s just nonsense to make mythics so rare that some people only find one when the season is basically over… GREAT!!!

Mythics are really poorly integrated into the game.

Might as well just have them drop only on the last day of the season!
That would be really helpful!!

What a joke…

I think I’ve done 200+ lair bosses and found nothing but a pile of UNIQUE trash…
one piece of junk after another!!! It’s infuriating…

lol I was killing t3 duriel and even when one dropped i was like so meh… I didnt even care that it had dropped XD

Should rename game to “Junkablo” as 90% of what you pick up in t3/4 is.

The problem with mythics is that pretty much all of them are becoming more useless with each passing season, with the exception of RSS and maybe one or two more depnding on your class. Ever since tempering was added to the game, mythics became less relevant since tempers are needed for key slots for buffs to skills (chance to cast twice/double damage). Every season since tempering was added, new unique items have also been added rendering more mythics useless. Mythics need a serious revamp to their usefulness/stats along with more options to find them than doing 1,000+ Belial runs. This is not an engaging or fun way to farm for items, especially since there is literally no way to “celebrate” finding them because by that point you’ve completed all of the content in the game with multiple GAs on items with maxed out masterworking. Great, finally got my RSS, now invest 1B gold to masterwork it perfectly 12/12 to make it better than what you are currently using. Then, I guess doing 10 more pit tiers is how to apply it? By that point, I don’t care for pit runs anymore. This is not a fun endgameplay loop.

i’m just curious… how u get 1b?
my b’s was always traded. got myself some… say 100-200m during an entire season. wouldn’t surprise me.
so my question is: where does that money come from that i’m spending on my masterwork and my enchanting, and whatever expenses there are?
is it so that blizzard projects that gold will be botfarmed and injected into the market, and thus plans the entire game economy around that? because 1b, that’s a lot of gold. and i don’t need just a b, i need tens of them and more.
idk guys, how u get ur cash?

the problem, as i see it, is that there’s no use for might.
you build might to build might, not to use it for something.
once you’ve perfected your gear, the game is over, but when did it really begin?
i have a plan, a build i’m thinking of. well, for the build i will need these items. i get those items. purchased, usually, as it’s the best way. maybe i got the gold from some double ga legs. or i just find them, usually it’s not important to have a triple or quad ga unique. only 1 trait is important and once u have that it’s fine, which anyone can get.
so… i do that but i’ve already “killed” all bosses. and then it’s like… do i come here for a challenge? i don’t. but maybe some do, so they can go kill those bosses then. but most of us? i don’t think we come here for that. we come to hack and slash some monsters to pieces.
now doing that has no skill component to speak of. u may, quite literally, roll your face across the keyboard and it’ll be fine for 99% of encounters; given that you do have the gear for the difficulty.
there’s no tactics to learn and no “situations”. u dodge the goo on the ground sometimes but other than that it’s nothing.
i say it’s VERY cool for a couple of hours. it’s just that u did those hours leveling up, trying to get that stuff u needed for the build. and those hours were kind of unsatisfying cause the build weren’t really working the way u wanted it to as it was underpowered and missing components. And once it is done, what will u do then after having rushed about some helltide or run a horde? u turn off the game, cause u r out of reasons to play and places to go.
The idea would be that we dynamically shape our build depending on what items we procure, of course. And that may happen but is it enough? i don’t think so.
Edit: ohh and… IF the game is challenging, it is actually quite taxing as there are NO BREAKS. it’s full on constantly. and it means you are undergeared, so you’re probably just playing it wrong at that point.

they are supposed to be very rare. get a grip

i have to concur, they’re supposed to be rare. very rare, actually, as was said.
we get one we can work up to every season. not too hard. so if there’s something u absolutely have to have u can get it. but then it’s the runes… this season no one has runes. idk the price on them but i can imagine it’s not pretty. which means i will have to roll it, can’t get it otherwise.
my problem is that the only spot to loot are the bosses. i hate bossing and now it’s hard af also, which i also hate.
back in the day, i was looting the mobs. and those were the main game. still are. but i never found a mythic from those, ever. been around for 5 seasons at least. at some point someone said it’s 1 in a billion to loot a mythic from a regular.

but yea, the only thing to do is to find items, and to play the way you want you need to have them, but once you have them you have nothing to do anymore so then the game stops as your dream is realised.
it’s all pretty much dysfunctional, really.

My companion Druid has 240 Paragon, 5 Board Powers.

meanwhile i get 6-9 billion on wolf attacks.

Need to stack Normal Damage, Storm, Nature and Companion damage all together.

  • 1300% crit dmg and a 290% fist of fate.

meanwhile@pit70 its over, i am not dying but the damage is too low to fininsh in time.

guess it’s game over or switch build then.
if you’re done with the build you can’t improve. that’s the worst part, i think; that you can’t play it better.
