Nobody at blizz plays sorc.
That’s the only explanation I can come up with. Sorc has been at the bottom of the tier lists since being nerfed during beta and this patch just pushes them down further.
It’s funny because I’ve never been a sorc main in any of the previous iterations of the franchise even though it was consistently one of the strongest classes so I thought I’d give it a shot this time around. I’ve enjoyed it up until the patch (I just made lvl 90) even though I’ve died more as a sorc than in any other class I’ve played since D1. I didn’t mind not playing a top tier class because I could still have fun pushing through and it felt gratifying. But, now that they’ve nerfed CDR and defenses,…oof…it just isn’t a fun class to play anymore. Slow and squishy. Overnight it went from challenging fun at lvl 90 to just terrible.
I’ll likely play a different class during season 1 until Baldur’s Gate 3 comes out and then it is just a matter of which game is more fun.
