Whoever is responsible for the Pit - never let them design a dungeon again - played a lot and it makes me want to stop playing

Pit was always idiotic. I would very much prefer for Pit to disappear completely and let us farm increasely harder random Nightmare/Torment dungeons. 100x more fun for me.

Especially if one considers that there are somewhat procedural dungeons with story lines.

We need more dungeons, more lore in them, more random encounters and last but not least, a reason to go there.

This whole idea of making new subsystems instead of making the old ones work is futile.

For me, the best solution would be to remove the stupid mechanics from Nightmare Dungeons like ‘do this, bring that, kill everyone, etc.’… They should work in a way where you enter and decide if you want to kill everything in the dungeon or go straight to the boss. Besides that, they should implement scrolls that can be dropped and traded with other players, which would give extra stats to mobs while also increasing the drop rate percentage and item quantity… At the same time, all Nightmare Dungeon sigils should have a rarity (the better they are, the harder they get, while also increasing the chance for much rarer gear).

Yes, the core system of Diablo is actually good.

Explore dungeons, find random drops.

This hole giving players the run around adds nothing to the game and variations like the pit are just reductive and not innovative.
