A strong no from me. If they have the archived forum posts from way back when the RMAH was a thing with D3, you’d laugh and cry at some of the posts. All this would be is another way for people to trade items for money illegally. There have been multiple instances where by the ATO has busted people for trading in this manner and not declaring income.

Yes, sacred and ancestral seem like different names for exceptional and elite items, iirc.
As for OP’s suggestion:
Without a solution to disconnect 3rd party trading sites from d4, no way in hell.
Soon or later (probably soon) there will be a bots, farming everything everywhere 24/7. If you will provide them opportunity to make a real cash… you know what will happen.

I dont agree with OP at all, but please tell me how people paying for THEIR items hurts you? They arent PVPing you are they? They arent even in your party. Are you upset someone has better gear than you somewhere on the game? Play YOUR game and let others play theirs. You dont influence each other expect maybe that you cant win a dick measuring contest about “i have made it the furthest in rifts”. - to which, WHO CARES.

The trade with real money is not a good solution, it would become pay to win.
Solutions could be, however:

Open marketplace only in-game, without ability to track the seller battle tag, so it cannot be replaced by a third-party platform where you could pay for the items. Pre-defined trade conditions, an anonymous player buys it first and has the deal.

Allow to trade X items per X hours / X progress in the game. A bit less punishing, but still forces you to play to trade.
Have you been on D3 when it was released? Having and RMT AH in D3 made the game a nightmare. You were not able to progress once you got to Act II in the 4th difficulty. I spent quite some time farming Act I in order to get items to be able to survive Act II.
i dont blame the AH for some people buying their way though Act II , i blame it because before some nerfs, it was the ONLY way to do it.
RMTAH was something the game was made from so it affected the way you enjoy the game if you decided just to SSF. That why i must say no to this crap.
This will kill the game itself and generate milions of bots that will kill the whole economy in days. Very bad idea. Trading has to be off. Otherwise this game will be like a POE.

Hello! I don’t care about this crying people. This is ABSOLUTELY GOOD IDEA!
Big non stop online at first. You can make real money , so you don’t really waist your life for just playing with no point. You can set up week trade system, for real money trade.
Keep eyes on cheating, and just fix some percentage of dropping some items that’s it!
Me and all my friend totally agree this what we want , this want we need, play for a reason, not just like kids, wasting life and never get something out of it. I know a lot people, who using black market even now, so you loosing your % of wealth. Also we want a Game World, where you can actually work, its gonna be like Instagram, where you have professions which exist only on that platform. Its an example. We all dreaming , we don’t need to go on some kind of website to find a buyer to sell it… You having an experiences ,and you can avoid some mistakes from past. You can DO it. Its really good idea. Also many people don’t wanna wasting time for looting, after working day they want to relax and chill in game, but not farm 1000 hours for item what makes your game more comfortable. This is good Idea. Please , and all my friends , and whole Latvian community asking you for this.

RMT was what made Diablo 3 lose a ton of players. No, we do not need RMT in this game.
The only reason someone would want this is to buy all the best gear because they’re too lazy to do the grind themselves.

Many people are adults, not a kids who has tons of time to play and grind all this stuff.
I’m surprised who this affecting on people, this game about Dungeons, but you talking about PVP system? Doesn’t make sense, you can play and grind all your stuff, what is the problem? This people who bought gear , how they affect on you game-play if this game is not really about pvp?
Then why in the bloody hells play a game like this in the first place, where the entire point is to grind?
