The Solution to the Black Market of Items in Diablo 4

Greetings Diablo 4 community!

I’d like to propose an idea to improve the game’s trade system. Currently, legendary and unique items can’t be traded, which can be frustrating for players who are seeking particular items. My suggestion is to create a Diablo wallet where players can buy and sell these items with real money, creating a more rewarding experience for players and generating income for Blizzard.

By implementing this trade system, percentages could be established so that both players and Blizzard win, creating an attractive and fair eco-system. This solution could also help reduce the black market and illegal selling of items, since players would have a safe and official way of acquiring the items they want.

I hope my proposal is considered by the Diablo 4 community and developers. It would be great to have a fair, safe, and exciting trade system for all players!

Thank you for your attention!

You are asking for RMAH that we had with D3 release version?

Hello,

Thanks for sharing your perspective on the idea of implementing a wallet system in Diablo 4. Actually, my proposal is not about creating an external trade system, but about allowing players to do trading in-game themselves. My idea is to make this possible within the game, particularly within cities, where players could meet and perform the trades themselves.

This approach would avoid the problems of external trading, such as illegal selling or black markets, while creating a more immersive experience for players. I believe that this could be an exciting and rewarding feature that would enhance the gameplay in Diablo 4.

Thanks for your comment and for sharing your opinion. Let me know what you think!

Absolutely no way. Worst suggestion I’ve read in all the years I’ve been following D4.

How about all you p2w players deal with the fact rares are all you can trade.

Rares didn’t even have better affixes than legendary in the beta.

We’ve also been told Legendary items can roll as Sacred or Ancestral. Not sure if this even applies to rares.

So might be a really RARE situation that rares are actually better than a legendary.

FINALLY a game where going and earning your items through drops and not have cheaters or p2w players ruin the entire game for you is what we’re going to get.

No. To your suggestion a thousand million Hell No’s.

I strongly disagree with this. I really hope they never introduce a way to buy power in the game. What is the point of the game if you just pay for everything? Might as well just send them your money without getting a copy of they game.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can understand why the idea of buying power in the game may be concerning for some players. However, I would like to clarify that my proposal is not about introducing a way to buy power, but rather to enable fair trade between players for legendary and unique items. This would allow players to acquire the items they need to progress in the game, without having to rely on external, illegal channels.

I also believe that it’s worth noting that implementing a system like this is the only way to reduce the black market and provide a safe and secure environment for players to trade their items. With a safe system in place, Blizzard could offer an open trade of all items, allowing players to obtain the items they need to complete their builds and enjoy the game to its fullest.

Additionally, the introduction of a system like this would generate income for Blizzard, which would allow for a longer-term support of the game and the ability to offer more updates and features to the community.

Once again, thank you for sharing your perspective. I hope we can continue to exchange ideas and opinions in a respectful and constructive way

This reminds me of the Rick and Morty episode where they decide that they will no longer purge each other, but after a minor disagreement minutes later they decide that 1 day per year they will release all their frustrations on each other as a compromise.

This has been tried, tested and failed. Re-wording it does not make it any better of an idea than before.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your opinion on this matter. I understand that you have some reservations about my proposal, and that you’d prefer not to have an open trade system for legendary and unique items.

I respect your opinion, and in fact, my original proposal was not about introducing an open trade system. Rather, it was about finding a middle ground that balances the need for trading legendary and unique items with the need for preventing illegal trading and black markets. In my view, a Diablo wallet system that provides a secure and controlled environment for trading could be an answer to this issue.

However, I do understand your concerns and I agree that protecting the integrity of the game and the experience of the players is of utmost importance. Thank you for sharing your views. I hope to continue to engage with you and others in discussing ways to improve the trading system in Diablo 4

I did understand what you suggested, but it is exactly what we had in Diablo 3 in the release version. A real money ingame auction house that people could buy and sell items for real money.

Spoiler: it didnt go well and was thrown out the game for good.

lol…

There was a reason why the AH was removed from D3 early in.

That being said, direct trades should be allowed… but give them a trade limit that other games have done so they can’t be in circulation forever, such as being able to exchange between 3 players tops.

What if instead of allowing the trading of legendary and unique items for real money, we could create a special currency that could be collected in the game? This idea would allow players to obtain such items without the need for financial transactions, which would solve one of the biggest problems of trading in Diablo 4.

The special currency could be obtained through various activities and quests in the game, such as killing certain enemies, doing dungeons or completing special missions, and would create a new trading system where players could exchange legendary and unique items fairly.

This approach would also have the additional benefit of eliminating the black market and illegal item sales, providing a safe and official way for players to obtain the items they want. It would also maintain the gameplay experience designed by the developers.

In summary, the creation of a special currency for trading in Diablo 4 could be an excellent solution to allow players to access legendary and unique items more easily and fairly. It could also help reduce the black market, illegal item sales, and maintain the integrity of the original game. Thank you for considering this proposal!

NO! we do not want d2jsp and sites like that ones fron D2 in D4. that will be pay2win, no way!

On top of all the concerns, this is a looting game. Get to looting!

i liked the auction house d3 had at start tbh, idk why they dont go with a Grand exchange style system like runescape has its worked well for many years

I have a proper job now so I don’t need to sell loot on the BMAH to buy pizza like in 2012. But It was amusing, I sold a helmet in D3 for the maximum allowed value (£200 or something) and then Blizzard made it practically obsolete like 6 weeks later, good times.

But no having played D3 since ROS, it’s better now than it was when you could trade loot. I don’t want that crap in D4.

Am I online? Good evening and Buenas tardes to all of you in different timezones. I would like to lend ideas to this fantastic new great proposal.

Players could purchase, let’s call it “cash”. This “cash” could be converted into an in-game currency and used to buy virtual stocks, bonds, digital bullion and other rarities on a sort of… “virtual market” if you’ll forgive this new term.

Following a vestement period, these virtual assets would be exchangeable - not Purchasable, but Exchangeable, Tradeable you could say, for items available from a extensive catalog of mock goods and services.

These would be converted in a controlled fashion into real items, or back to virtual cash.

Eventually the player may withdrawal their currency as what we call in the industry “Real World Money” and everyone benefits beyond any and all limitations we typically see in such a market system.

Totally safe. Simple. Exploitation Proof.
