The Vulnerable problem

At the moment both making a build and getting gear for it in terms of doing damage is all bout vulnerable for all builds to the point of, if you don’t have vulnerable in your build its straight up a dead build. Every other stat compare to it is simple not worth focusing on.
Potential solution : remove the “element” damage bonuses (fire damage, poison damage, minion damage etc) from the big bucket of stats and on top of it make it so that item can roll only of them for example if an item have x%cold damage it CAN NOT roll vulnerable damage or shadow or physical etc.
that way not only you nerf vulnerable with out killing it but also make an absolutely very much need buff to the " elemental" damage bonuses and allow for even more build diversity and depth to the game.
At last one thing is very obvious vulnerable must change

Agreed.
I think they should get rid of all the multiplication and rebalance. They’re the only things worth focusing on.
Get imaginative with how to make vulnerable, crits and such interesting while still having things on one layer.
