The way diablo 4 is going

Iam playing diablo 4 from the beginning, in the time d4 came out i made some nice d4 player friends and we hang out on discord and we hype till the new season comes out.

But is it just us ? the hype is getting less, the game time is getting less.
In the first few seasons we played softcore, the thrill whas gone so we went hardcore.
The thrill came back and the seasons following we hyped up again, but this season…
on the second day we had full uber gear we where one shotting everything.

Just now we where talking about how we miss the feeling of the “old” days, the grind you needed to achieve the highest content.

Are we the only ones that feel like that ?

I wish for diablo to make a server with hc module but with less item drops and mat drops so you really need to grind again even less xp so it will really feel like a achievement again. Just like ggg has on path of exile.

When a item does drop it really feels awesome. When the PTR dropped and the first aspects dropped on lvl 15/20 because of the bug that the gear didnt drop propperly, that whas awsome, i changed my skill tree to that aspects and it whas a nice game changer, i never would have used that skill otherwhise. I really hope you guys inplement this on a new live server, make aspects great again

Hope to hear from you,
Greets Vica

I mean for more casual players the grind is still pretty harsh.

To actually get the best out of a build you’re grinding gear for days for the right rolls to be useful, so although you get a lot of gear… in all honesty most of it is useless. It currently feels more balanced for casuals and people who just want to grind, catering for one would kill it for the other. Though, if they made a separate sandbox for that… it could be possible, but tbh Blizz spend more time and effort making cash cow cosmetics than fixing bugs, so the chances of them splitting servers for that is slim.

You not the only one for sure. There you can have a look at my one year old post about D4 gameplay.
Thing is, it’s too late with VOH release Blizz kinda cemented the way they want to go - D3.
I would love to see D4 classic server like we have with WOW, but that wont prolly happen…like never.

I’ve always considered Diablo for more casual players who don’t want to constantly grind like Everquest or be overly complicated like POE. My suggestion is to try POE. Maybe it’s more your speed?

from my solo perspective, cause i usually like to solo and see what i can get each season. some trade because i will overstack on materials and other things too but overall a solo thing; from that perspective I like how things are rolling. I have to struggle to get into t4, took me maybe a week to stabilize and i am a dedicated player. I don’t follow meta, however. I always make the same build with practically the same objectives, see how it goes for the season. That’s interesting to me. And it’s great I have access to everything in some reasonable time frame. However, that excludes having the ultimate set. I can forget about that. Not following the meta means I move slowly and it’s uncertain how far I can get with my particular, unchanging, build also. And the build is simple: melee with an archery component. classic rogue. stealth ofc a star if i can get. dash too… but i digress… what i’m saying is that this balance is good for me. I get what i need in due time. Some things I am unable to procure i may trade for. But I am not greedy for the ultimate things… i see those quadfecta ga mythics looming there in the background but i don’t need that to complete my build… the balance is fine. i get … everything i need from grinding + i get to trade a reasonable amount without it occultating the entire game. From where I am standing, this is good. From the master exploiter’s perspective this’ll be a bit tame… but a little bit more than a few days to deck out, surely? perhaps it is too easy… idk… but they’re still testing things u know, this is a build-up; it’s all that. The game won’t be seen as completed in years. There’s much to add. Perhaps, because I think this is probably going well for them, this will be a very built out game in the end. Maybe that difficulty you are looking for will come with time? check back later.
