This game is terribly unbalanced

I have a fireball sorc lvl 100, with max dmg around 6-8 million per hit. I can do solo Uber Duriel / Andariel in 1-2 minutes. I can do lvl 100 Nightmare Dungeons without problems. I can also do 61 lvl pits with more or less no problems

So, monster lvl 200 (uber boss) = no problems
Monster lvl 154 (nightmare dungeons) = no problems.
Monster lvl 160 (pits) = no problems

At the same time I have very big problems with lvl 160 monsters when I open infernal compass lvl 6. I crawled to the fell council but resigned because I do almost no damage to them.

They’ve written about this, and there will be changes in the new season (mobs will no longer have levels; they will always match your level). The problem is that mobs in hordes are stronger, even if they have a lower level than those in NMD or the Pit. It’s like comparing fighting Varshan and Duriel. Unfortunately, this can be misleading, so mobs will no longer display levels. Also, unfortunately, Sorc seems to have only 2 playable builds in Season 5 (maybe 3), but they require uber uniques. In Season 6, if nothing changes, Sorc will only be viable when playing with friends, essentially just running behind them, and solo play will only be feasible up to tier 3 of the new torment difficulty.

It is an inherent problem thanks due to all the multipliers they use. This system just don’t work properly. They might try to hackjob certain things, but when you stop to think about it … this system is a mess. And the system it evolved from(D3).

It can be a fun mess, don’t get me wrong, but a mess it is.

Agreed - in essence the everything now revolves around the pit - and the mechanics don’t make sense for it - one day do lvl 80 the next cant do 61

Just wait until the expansion class comes out. Thats going to be broken OP for a while so more people get it later.

P.S
61 lvl pit is cakewalk. Try reaching 105+ pits at least minimum. So far Ive soloed 109, could go higher just havent bothered yet to

Not with this build. When I finish improving my fireball sorc I will probably be able to do pit lvl 70-80 but that’s it. My fireball lvl is 24 at this moment and I’ve already used all multipliers I could think of.

Pro players who build Sorcerers (in Season 5) around Fireball have managed to reach Pit level 160 at best… But that’s the maximum they can do, because Sorcerer doesn’t have many options for maximizing multiple damage. Besides, the only good option for multiple damage for Sorcerer is Conjurations and passives. On the helmet, you can have +x Conjuration passive buff… But in Season 5, Shaco is a better choice, and in Season 6, unfortunately, both Shaco and Tyrael are required because they are the best items for stacking the necessary armor. I thought Season 6 would eliminate the balance issue, as well as the “requirement” to have specific uber uniques, but in Season 6, the problem is getting worse.

Going back to what someone mentioned about the DPS calculation system looking like it’s from Diablo 3… I’ve had that thought since the game launched. The DPS formula seems to have been copied directly from Diablo 3 (literally, without any changes or improvements). That’s why, as part of the “balance,” we have the Torment level system (1-4). However, along the way, we’ve had changes (not just for Sorcerer and Necro), and the formulas for some spells were “fixed” to fit Diablo 4, and now we’re seeing a problem with the synergy between the Diablo 3 DPS formula and the spells that have been altered between Seasons 1-5… And the clock is ticking, with no official information about the decisions that have been made.

x number of videos by their shill streamers and others, zero arguments why it must be this way.

Game is not balanced at all, let alone for sorc that’s at a level of broken on its own

Yet people keep giving money to them… Cant blame stupid for being stupid.
