Turning crossplay off helps the server performance?

Hi,

I just happened find out this option to exclude crossplay (playing without console players in the same world) from options and it feels like the world is working much better, alot less of rubberbanding in world. Kyostad city, name butchered, has still that fps drop when entering but all the rest feels alot smoother.

Asking now from all the computer experts out there, can switching the crossplay off affect to the overal connection performance?

I ask this question because I love the mmo aspect of this game where i can pop into randoms doing their world exploring, but if it actually is working better without crossplay option, then on hc its no brainer for me.

Thanks,

Hm… This is actually a good idea, nice find!
I think they need to disable it themselves for a while, at least untill they fix everything, haha.

But in general, somehow I feel the mmo aspect is a bit weak anyway.
Of course, it is not supposed to be strong in diablo game, but currently it is much easier to find a group somewhere else (forums/disscord), but not inside the game itself.

This works like a charm.
not seen a buggy server since I turned it off.

shame a small indie company cant figure it out.
