First of all: really well done Blizzard, in my opinion Tyrant Grasp Warlock in combination with Rampage jumping around and Anathema/Hecaton is one of the most fun builds ever (if not the most).
However, I would really like to see a buff for that particular build. Do not get me wrong, I am not suggesting the build should be “S(+) tier” simply because I like it. No, in fact, it is not only alright that some builds are better than others but even necessary since it would be really boring if everything is equally good. After all, min-maxing stuff is a core part of the Diablo experience.
Nevertheless, I believe with almost perfect(!) gear any of the main builds should be able to run T12 comfortably and at least have a chance to do Mephisto and other super endgame activities.
I have farmed, traded, and used the cube a lot to arrive at:
- 5 GA Tyraels Might (40% damage reduction alone on this one)
- 5 GA Anathema Weapon with almost max roll gem strength transfiguration
- 5 GA Amulet (vulnerable damage, fire damage, you name it)
- 5 GA Gloves (vulnerable damage, fire damage, you name it)
…and the rest is like 2 GA Heir of Perdition, 3 GA Hecaton, …
In addition to that, 4/6 charms have a GA: +4 demonology skills
And all 5 Glyphs are lvl 100-110.
I have the nameless set currently (mainly for the extra damage reduction), 40% damage reduction on the legs, 40% damage reduction on the Tyraels Might…so I am sitting at >80% damage reduction with 40k health and good resistance & armor.
Still I cannot even do T11 Mephisto and in T12 some greater lair bosses sometimes one-hit me.
Then, w.r.t. Pit, anything above Pit 110 becomes awfully slow and also quite some rare mobs just randomly one-hit me. Good crits with the nameless ritual up go in the 500-600B damage and crit chance in general is almost 60%.
Again, I am not saying Tyrant Grasp should be buffed into oblivion but I believe running around with almost perfect gear should at least mean Pit >= 130 comfortably and able to do T12 endgame content.
It just looks unfair that there is Sorc (and some other classes also) running Pit >= 140 and yolo T12 with 2 GA equipment. The power difference is just too big in my opinion.
