im watching some videos from people that use ultrawide monitors and it looks amazing, they can see so much on the screen, meanwhile im playing on 27c 1440p and i cant see shit, left and right is ok but top/bottom you barely see anything, if boss is big you dont even see what hes doing.
I really would like to zoom out more, its feels too close for me, and i really think that ultrawide users will have advantage in pvp in the future because they will see ya before you will see them, also can plan/react to your moves, for example sorc can use this fire charging spell out of your screen and burn you

imagine on pvp… widescreen big advantage. But yeah, need more zoom level! The big problem on top of that, the camera don’t move up when your on hill/cliff so you’re more zoomed depending where you are on the map !
Widescreen is always an advantage. After i got my 21:9 screen, I can never go back.
But I agree, a free zoom with more range would be a very welcome feature.
That makes no sense, im using a 21:9 screen, top and bottom is the same view as 16:9. So if you fine with left and right view on 16:9, i dont see the problem.
I dont know if 32:9 os also supported, but even than your vertical view would be the same as 16:9. Your view only increases horizontally.
But yes, I really recommend ultrawide monitors in general, would never go back to 16:9 personally.
If DIV wouldn’t have uw-support, I wouldnt have bought it.

Looks amazing, but the vertical visibility still crap on my 21:9 monitor, 2k@34".
They need to just add a view swipe that follows the cursot and not your character in the middle. That way you can move the mouse to the side of the screen, and you could get extra visibility toward that direction. Very easy, not game breaking, nor extra hardware resource hog, its literally nothing… Just good programming required.
Oh boy, I will have to buy that kind of monitor

I’m waiting for the new 45" 4k@240hz oled Gsync monitors from Corsair/LG. Only 2k/240hz at the moment and on 45" its crap to be honest. But they already said there will be 4k version from it back in… 2021? Can’t remember. They should start making them this year, hopefully.
