Working on finding a way to get refund for VoS.
After learning of item power drop to 540 this game has become a stale joke. It’s not worth the time I have invested or could invest in the future, and if you guys value your time so little you want things to continue like this, that’s on you.
If your time is worth that little please go touch some grass.
So you just come here to complain about something you dont have the full details on, and then proceed to insult the playerbase?
A number squish would actually be good for the game, as it has been having exponential power creep for the past few seasons. If this power creep is allowed to continue, D4 will end up like D3, with numbers in the trillions and even the highest difficulty content will be completely trivialized. A number squish done right doesnt take power away from the players, it just compromises the scale of the numbers.
You have every right to feel however you want about the game, but you have no right to tell others how to feel or what to do, or how they should value their time. Nobody here needs to “go touch grass” we are all allowed an oppinion.
I’m not against a number squish. There is no measurable reason to change all eternal realm gear to 540.
eternal realm gear does not effect seasonal realm. You should be able to have your farmed gear be 750 at launch.
Squish the numbers all you like, but don’t tell people who farmed or traded for lit items it’s all worthless over and over and over in a realm that most people don’t care about. why is it that eternal players are the ones who keep getting screwed? Because it keeps people in seasonal.
It keeps people from venturing away from seasonal. Which means you mind as well not have eternal at all.
This game would be better off if eternal realm did not exist, not because it’s a bad idea, but because the people in charge have no idea how to manage it correctly.
The level cap is increasing, it would only make sense that level 50 gear, as it will be, is lower power level than level 60 gear.
As far as eternal real goes, i have no oppinion either way, as I dont play it. But D4 is a seasonal game, seasons are where the focus is, and eternal is a accomendation, that sometimes suffer the concequences of game changes. Balancing eternal and seasonal realms seperately is just not productive.

My problem is I expect more from people.
If this is the direction they are moving the game just remove the eternal realm. As an eternal realm player this has been 15 months of constant insults.
This game was barely even a polished turd at release
The only thing that made it better than d3 was I didn’t get 1 shot by random bugs in act 2.
eternal realm players are players too. We all paid for the game too. And yet we get treated like garbage every 2.5 months like clockwork.
This game is advertising itself as everything and more and changing everything and more every 2.5 months. they don’t even have an identity for the game.
If I could get a .25c refund I would. Thats how badly they’ve massacred any meaning in this game
Because the level cap is increasing, why would you expect your level 50 gear to be updated to level 60? Thats not how expansions work. It has nothing to do with picking on eternal players, eternal players level cap increases too, if you automatically had the best gear the day the expansion launch, you would have nothing to work towards and the new level cap would be pointless.
I dont understand why eternal players thing eternal means that nothing changes. Thats not the point of eternal, the point is that your character doesn’t reset every 3 months, that doesnt mean that the game doesnt change and evolve over time.

The fact I can’t get a refund on a preorder is proof.
They know what they are doing is absolute trash, and they have to hide it behind all the “good shit” they are promising you.
If their product was not trash, getting a refund wouldn’t be an impossible task.
Considering the expansion isn’t even out yet the fact I can’t get a refund is solid proof of where they stand in terms of ethics.

I cant tell you why you cant refund, but my guess would be that your preorder included some currency or a battlepass tolken that you have spent. You can return an apple to the store if you already took a bite of it.

I already uninstalled blizzard games entirely over today’s news.

Blizzard is milking you guys dry while their dying business model can still stay hobbling. You are right, it’s your choice what to do with your time. It’s their choice what to do with their game.
But choices have consequences. And blizzard may not lose a ton of people over this. But they lost at least one today.
Their only motivation is greed. That’s been shown today. They have no loyalty to player base. They have no direction for the game.

You gonna need that group finder for when less than 1000 people are logged in worldwide day to day later this year. Which is probably exactly the outcome blizzard desires. They’ve milked us pretty good already. If more people drop off they pay less in upkeep.
Then they can promise it’ll get better again with next expansion.
Blizzard more and more seems like a toxic ex who keeps promising they’ve changed. Promising they’ll fix their mistakes only to unveil a sinister plot to produce more mistakes at an outrageous incomprehensible scale
At first I was upset as well after hearing the item level changes - BUT - there is always a BUT - you must read all the info provided by Blizzard, not just the headlines because the expansion will make the players more powerful, meaning, you will upgrade your gear - they just changed the numbers - so basically, 925 becomes 540 - and instead of increasing the item level to 1500 or 2000 with bilions or trilions of damage, they just changed the numbers.

And yes, your current gear will be worthless in Season 6 but they won’t lose their power - that is the general idea of expansions, you will find better gear and you will be better !
The only downside which I don’t agree as well - is that Blizzard made too many item changes in a year - 6 item changes in 15 months, as someone mentioned before.
Does it matter if you crit for billions or tens of thousands, the game is ass and will continue to be ass.

Oh yea saw it on the US forums that you wont be able to refund the xpansion if your pre order has cosmetics (such as wings) and you already claimed the items even tho you havent played the expansion yet

This doesn’t change anything about the character’s DPS. They are just adjusting it for the sake of other changes (adjusting it to the new max level of characters, which will now be 60). It’s only a numbers change to align with the “new” game level. However, I have doubts about the character balance. As usual, the Sorcerer will only be viable with ice and fire builds… Those builds received so much multiple DPS that, compared to lightning, there’s no point in building around it.
Have you claimed any items? Including the Fire Wings?
If so, you can try hiring an expensive lawyer, but besides that … you’re out of luck.
It’s all good, me and many others have uninstalled all blizzard products as a result of this.
I can’t get a vos refund even tho it’s unreleased. Thats proof of their morals and ethics and proof of the quality of product they are releasing.
When you release quality product you don’t worry about refunds.
Tricking people into preorder then dropping this hard nerf on them was a planned business move. They knew they’d screw a group of their consumers.
The fire wings was just a way to fool more of us into wasting money on their garbage game.
I got fooled, I’ll admit it. But I’m done showing up to their circus.
I will spend the remainder of my life preaching about how immoral and unintelligent this company is. If I get other people to quit playing their games, Its a win for me.

It doesn’t fix a thing, because we now know exactly what they want to do to our time and effort. If they can get away with it they want to send you back to square one as often as possible.
This isn’t a game, it’s torture. Self inflicted torture. Designed by a bunch of sadists.
The entire point of this genre of game is to build your character up over time. They have taken the AARPG idea and turned into into some amalgamation that resembles a moist wet horse

What’s worse is loot reborn actually fixed the game. And now they think it’s better to revamp everything and send everyone’s items back to garbage.
Anyone left still playing this game after this, or any blizzard game for that matter, I truly feel sorry for you. That you value your time to be that worthless.
There is also a part of this topic I will not address in full, all I will say they chose very specifically who to have give us the news about all our items going to 540. They have plenty of people to choose from, and they picked someone who would stir anger on topics that have nothing to do with the game. Which is not fair to that person, their community, or us as the consumer. But again, they have no ethics or morals.
You can all worship their lack of any ethics or morals, just don’t expect anything to ever get better while you do.
It’ll be 4 years of them moving the goal post as often as they possibly can until you decide to quit.
And to be clear, moving the goal post isn’t the problem, it’s how often they are moving it that is the problem. Also the fact they treat eternal realm like it effects seasonal is the problem.
They’d be better off calling it seasonal realm A) and seasonal realm B. There is no eternal realm.
Thats not exaggeration. There literally is no eternal realm. This game would do better with just a seasonal realm.
If all your past seasonal characters and items got sent to the delete box automatically at end of season, at least the game design would match the execution.
Would it be a good game? No. But it isn’t a good game now either. And it’s not the game itself that’s the problem, it’s clearly the people in charge.
Diablo 4 in a vacuum is not a bad game. The only bad part of it is how it is being managed.
i think its simply that they want more people to play season so they buy the battle pass…
Remains to be seen if this change will impact the playing experience in a bad or good way.
But im going to take a break from D4 and play on eternal only from now on since for me the endless grind and re lvl a new char all the time are not something i find fun anymore.
Will try out the PTR and get a general idea of what the game are going to be and how it feels to play it like that and if i dont like it im out.
