Ascend the Leaderboards in Trials and test yourself weekly in the Gauntlet to earn glory.
This will be competitive.
Might be something for people but I don’t think it will be for me.
At surface glance this seems a good feature.
I have never seen such an empty piece of endgame content in my life. You could of at least come up with some new affixs to add some challenge. I mean I could write a huge list of of stuff, there is no innovation here. You could of decreased the time limit and add time clocks in the dungeon to increase your time spent. The chests could of added time. I dont understand what the shrine buffs are for when the high % of player based could kill that level of content without. I was also expecting matchmaking aswell. I don’t understand what’s so special that this content took half the season to release. There is also no season synergy. There has to be people up top above you, to tell you this is not good enough. As a player of this game, its not good enough. If you want people to buy the next expansion you are not giving a great impression.
At this point if people haven’t realized this game serves only one purpose, not to entertain people, to have fun, but only to sell their cosmetics in the shop money hungry corporate behind a bunch of incompetent devs they are just driven by greed and basically they are killing off one of their most popular IPs…im not even interested in the next season(s) nor the xpansion even if they would give it up for free…and if you think im a hater…i still play d2r to this day im having a blast in hardcore ladder this seasoni also played a bit of classic wow i really like (old) blizzard games but d4 is beyond bad for my taste…
sincerely a long time fan,

I think that companies more or less exist to make money, we living in a capitalism.
To do that they need to find a suitable business model.
Selling cosmetics is more fair than selling power, known as pay to win. And it’s also more convenient than a subscription because no one knows when they feel like turning the game off for a couple of months. Then a big production like this need to find other avenues than those two that didn’t work for people, cosmetics being the choice which I absolutely agree with.
No need to make purchases if you don’t want to. There’s options available in the game that’s suitable. But yes, if you want to look a bit more fancy and special you need to fork.
It’s also important that it is pricey, because that protects the exclusivity of you purchase.
Like any hobby, it costs money. Blizzard is the inventor of this hobby and therefore the proprietor of the virtual goods connected to it.
For me the interest in the game goes up and down and now I’m in a hot streak where it’s fun to play. I think that’s true for any game. And yes, sure I’m a bit salty about this not really being the muscled product I thought I bought, but the technology is good, those mobs die gloriously. There’s not as many builds as I like either but it’s coming along I think, and so is the end game. They’re making the only choice possible: To develop the game as it plays. There’s too many unknows starting a game so it’s impossible to know what’s needed before it has been played.
They’re doing a good job, in my opinion, and it’s a good business model selling cosmetics that keep their artists busy and employed and gives the needed income to support the development without taxing the population of the game.
Subscription in a diablo game:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
p2w=diablo immortal failed project, and i wouldn’t mind if they would focus on monetizing the game if the game itself was good, but its not its a hot pile of stinking garbage…and the fact that the game is bad, almost nobody plays it, no matter what new platform they introduce it to :DDD, and they still keep focusing on just milking is beyond greedy and beyond my understanding… im pretty sure im with the majority who doesnt appreciate what blizzard is doing with d4 and not gona fund their screwed corporate greedness…anyways im off to have some FUN in d2r and LE peace out
I think noone says that making money is bad. But if you first create monetization model and then you develop game around it - it’s Diablo 4. If you focus to create a good game, and then you think how to make money on it - it’s Last Epoch and PoE.
Yes, it’s a business model; subscription. Undesireable, so there is another: Cosmetics.
I see many people here on my screen though and I always meet another, so I think there’s people playing. And no, it’s not a bad game. It’s just not finished, it’s in the beginning of the game.
You don’t need to understand how business works, what you need to know is what purchases you have to make and you don’t have to make any so no worries for you. You can just ride the wave of others making purchases.
Corporations are indeed greedy, that’s part of capitalism; sadly. And if something does make them money, which cosmetics does because people does buy, then they capitalise; which is the point of capitalism.
Have fun with your gaming. And D4 will remain where it is for you to start at your leisure. Enjoy your games.
It’s reasonable to have a business plan immediately, that’s good organisation and lay a solid foundation for expansion and contingency. Doing it as an afterthought is the poor man’s choice, the one trying to elbow their way into a difficult market.
D4 is developed around killing monsters. And D4 does that very well. Surely you agree it’s the top arpg when it comes to technology, there’s no other game handling damage distribution quite like D4 can do.
Last Epoch looks too clunky and ultimately uninteresting for it, for me. Same was true, and is true, with Path of Exile comparing to D3. Now PoE2 is yet to be seen but I’ve heard many are impressed. Let’s see it, then sing the praises.
Are there any armor horses weapon skins as rewards?
or it’s just simply for looking at your rank ?
